Welp, with Brad and Dusty gone nobody else really excites me. 😟

Are there coaches to make us better? Sure. But they were the home runs who understood the job and expectations. Just don’t see anyone else out there who’ll leave a high profile job for IU.

Go get Pitino for a few years and get the IU brand back and then find the right guy

Nobody good is leaving their job to come here.

We’re going to end up with Tom Crean 2.0. A .63% type winner who makes the tourney 2/3 years. It’s who we are now.

If our $ can’t lure Dusty, the days of even thinking we’re elite are over.

I'm warming up to the idea of either McCollum or Brownell (with Byington just a nose and a half behind in the third position)...

Based solely on his home run Football hire I'm trusting Scott Dolson to, at worst, hit a stand up double, with this hire... Remember, Basketball is his area of expertise and this time He'll be making the final decision (I hope)... He hit a foul ball the last time; I think he connects, solidly, this time around...

Whew. That was close.

I dont understand these types of replies. A FF at a nobody school. A likely BT Title in year 1 of a near last place team the year before? What exactly are we crapping on here?
I'm not crapping on anyone. He's a good coach, but he's not the reincarnation of prime Bob Knight. And I trust that Dolson will get this right.

I would have liked him at IU, but he wants to stay at UM. Not worth freaking out over.

We arent getting those guys. There’s arguably 2 of them right now and we won’t touch either one.

New coaching hot board in light of recent developments and IU’s comical ineptitude:

Isiah Thomas
Randy Wittman
Keith Smart
Steve Alford
Joe Pasternak
Michael Lewis
Dane Fife

I mean yeah?

What is he, like 75-10 his last 3 years? Leading Michigan to 1st in year 1? A Final 4? Of course he’d be a candidate.
Dusty may have been a candidate for IU, but IU wasn't a candidate for Dusty. That's fine. I hope he keeps killing it at Michigan.

IU had its chance a year ago but the Bigfoot Brigade ****ed it up. Oh well.

I wish people would relax.... Dusty May signed a 10 year extension with FAU, and then a year later, went to Michigan. His extension could be for 20 years....it doesn't matter. What matters is his buyout. Dusty's buyout with his old UM contract was 5M, and now it's 7.5M. That's about half of Cronin, Oates, Buzz Williams, etc.

I wished for one of 2 things. Dusty to sign this extension or my prostrate to shrink. Lucky for me, the 5 times I get up tonight to p*#$ I'll be happy. I am surprised though.
