I think it was his 3rd or 4th TT team. That particular team is the only P4 team he had the levels of success we're gonna expect out of him. The other 7+ P4 teams he's coached, had a cumulative sub .500 conference record. And its not like he had an awful year bogging that down. They were all relatively mediocre. A couple of them won some NCAA games. None of them won a conference tournament.Not sure how you say that, when he took a Texas Tech team(a school that had never been to, and hasn't been since) to a NC game. Also...wasn't that team comprised of primarily the same players Knight missed the tournament with a season prior? I could be wrong on that. And yes, he's stuck in MS, where he is winning at a higher rate that that school has ever won at any other time in its history. You dont like him, and that's fine, but don't trash talk his coaching ability just because you don't like him personally.
I have him as one of my top 3 (of candidates that seem somewhat realistic), along with McCollum and McCasland. But I think its important to temper the expectations a little bit. He has not shown anything, at this point, that indicates he'll come in and compete for B10 titles every year.
