obviously it's been clear both here and through our private newsletter that a change may be on the horizon. as always we will remain at hte forefront of online community groups as we explore taking our talents to a new platform. it's our hope that the owners here can sort things out and we can stay here as they seem like genuinely good people. but we will do what is best for us as the Dream Team leadership team entertains offers. it's possible that we may have to join a subscription site. members have agreed that to keep the group together this is no obstacle. we may even do a sponsorship if need be. while it's been fun exploring platforms and entertaining suitors i will say that one group is really beginning to stand out.

They would be more than happy to establish a water cooler over there for us. Nothing signed. Nothing committed. Just an update. A concern is that the posters are incredibly aggressive. even by our standards. threats to meet up and throw hands will probably be accepted with dates and times certain

My wife and I are planning to move to TV in the near future. I was just wondering about neighborhood noise, ie parties, music, or general high noise producing activities after a certain time of the day. It seems to me that since all the homes are positioned very close to each other, noisy activities of one neighbor could cause a good amount of stress to surrounding neighbors.

Is there a noise curfew in TV?

Usually if someone is going to stay up late and make a ruckus, they will invite the neighbors nearby.

In the dozen or so years since we have lived in two places in The Villages there have been a very few complaints registered on this Forum.

Not much of a problem if at all. And as time goes by most of us gradually lose our hearing. It works out beautifully.

However, if you are the kind of person who gets nervous when your spouse eats crunchy things, perhaps you should not move close to others.

@SammyJacobs and @TJ Inman have said they plan on resurrecting HoosierHuddle.com, this time with forums. I think they were surprised initially at how big a part the community plays with a website like this. Of course, their focus will be on sports forums, but I think they will be willing to accommodate us misfits as well.

If that turns out to be the case, then I think that's where we should all gather. I know that's what I plan on doing. Which may or may not encourage the rest of you douchebags to do the same.
