Banks and Gunn are not good. They will be recruited over and hopefully we pull in players who are better either through the portal or as freshman. They belong on the bench and need to get way better.

How we don’t have another guard on the roster is pretty bullshit. You can’t have an open scholarship and roll this shit out there. Gabe is nowhere near ready to play, and it is not his fault.
I agree. He didn't foul out of the game but it cost us the game imho. I knew he would not be ready after such a long stretch on the bench.

I am fine if they do. We get nothing from either of them. Gunn did not have the summer some said he did.
Brought that up all summer was told we didn't need one cause Gunn was ready for big minutes
And, he's also a frosh, even if he was healthy. I mean, you never quite know what you're going to get from a Freshman anyway.

He's gonna have to hit the portal and be real good at evaluating the talent which is there. Not sure if he can pull anyone in with recruiting right now.
He said today they have a lot of commitments from players on bowl teams. Silent commitments.
Sure be excited about the football program that makes 1-2 bowl games per decade. Give up on a basketball coach who is 2 for 2 making the tournament. Jesus our fan base has to be the absolute dumbest in the country.

Didn’t say that. Just like making a bowl game shouldn’t be the bar for success. But we were pretty bad before Woodson showed up and now we are better. And go back and look at some of the comments from last year. A lot of posters said this year would be a catastrophe without all the seniors. Woodson did a great job of landing Ware and Mbako and this team is improving as the year goes on. If X can come back I think we could finish in the top 3 of the Big Ten. Not bad for a year that was expected to be a catastrophe.
The absurd argument given by some on here was no grad transfer would come here because they would have to sit behind trey, cupps,banks, and gunn. Next year we look even thinner at guard assuming Newton can't come back.
No it didn't but we likely have to finish top three in the big ten and likely go at least 14-6.
Woody and the staff did know they needed another guard and they went after guys. They were not so stupid that they didn’t see a need that guys drinking beers and eating Cheetos on their couches saw.
Lack of development amongst a lot of players is concerning. Geronimo, Bates, Banks, Gunn. None have shown any real improvement (yes I know Geronimo and Bates are gone).
Maybe some said that, but I think the more popular argument was most of the top guards transfers would have to compete and likely play behind Galloway. I think many felt X and Galloway would have the starting spots locked up and it’s difficult to convince a starting level transfer to come sit on the bench.

I didn’t say it would be easy but the poster said we were definitely out of the tourney.
