how this develops has the potential to be the most impactful presidential move for quite some time.
I fear that his original “we’ll own Gaza” and “send all the Palestinians somewhere else” statements will be used for terrorist recruiting for quite some time.

And why do we want to take social security out of Americans pockets to fund a real estate venture in the Middle East and put our troops and contractors in harm? Is that America first?
Have you been to Israel before? If you have you’d know they already have beautiful Tel Aviv on the coastline with beaches, down south bordering Jordan is Eilat which has year round hot weather and topless beaches. This part of the world does not need resorts in Gaza. They need a solution for the Palestinians that “ARE” peaceful. Jordan and Egypt will not take them. This much we already know. There’s a reason they live so densely in Gaza. We should not trade the relative peace we have with Egypt and Jordan to destabilize the Middle East just so we develope Gaza into a resort for vacationers.
As a democrat I can get behind the shrinking of our government so long as it’s done legally. But in terms of foreign policy this is a terrible idea! I think you guys know I’m somewhat of a moderate, I think there will be strong bipartisan support against this idea.
I will say this, obviously the initial reaction is very negative, but we need to see something on paper. We need to see what funding looks like, what the plan for the Palestinians looks like, how will this area be secured, what will be the mix use of this real estate and I’m sure there’s questions I haven’t thought of yet.
