I would also find a small IU student, a male under 5’6”, dress him in a leprechaun suit and have him at the practices running around talking shit to the team. For two weeks straight. Just to keep a chip on their shoulder.Grandson goes to IU.
He sent me this message.
Looks like CCC is on top of it.
Coach cig has them practicing with noise over the loud speakers at home... you can hear it from some parts of campus.

Don't know. Never smoked fake grass.Does the practice field have real grass? Anyone with knowledge on the subject know if the difference between grass and fake grass is significant?
They piped in music several weeks at practice. Including for home games. The Ohio State pregame, commentators were speculating on whether Cig had piped in noise to practice for the environment. One guy said well if it wasn't Cig's standard routine he may not have done that because he wouldn't want to do something different for the 'big game' when he wants his players to prepare like it's any other. I thought "I sure as hell hope we did that!" Although I've seen in the past some coaches say they don't think the practice noise helps much or had reasons against it.
I get the reasoning for not changing a routine if it might emphasize 'big game' coming up, makes sense. But part of the routine should be preparing for conditions. Leading up to the Ohio State game I hoped we practiced some with wet or slippery footballs since there was a chance of shit weather. I don't know if we do that, but it may have sharpened our punt snap concentration if we did. I'll trust Cig to be on it, and his guys.

I always keep hoping the USC Trojan horse will run on over the leprechaun when they play out in Los Angeles.Archie could have been useful

There are two practice fields, one real grass one artificial turf.Does the practice field have real grass? Anyone with knowledge on the subject know if the difference between grass and fake grass is significant?
Nds has turf now, no longer rocking the grass. I believe BK had that change happen.Does the practice field have real grass? Anyone with knowledge on the subject know if the difference between grass and fake grass is significant?
Indeed not your Father's ND.ND had turf put in a few years ago. The ND crowd can be loud at times, but not sure how many students will be there for the playoff game.
ND crowd is well known for being somewhat older in age and relatively calm for games. Many go to games as it relates to status. EX: "I was at the ND game on Saturday", even though a good amount have limited knowledge about football.
I was there as well but under the upper deck and couldn’t tell because it was just loud. Period.OSU piped in noise. I was there for the game and was next to one of the speakers amplifying the crowd noise

I was in A deck and it was loud. I don’t think they pumped in sound but they played music up until the snap but unless you were next to a speaker, I’d say it was more than likely crowd noise. IU was playing in front of the OSU student section when they struggled the most.I was there as well but under the upper deck and couldn’t tell because it was just loud. Period.
My brother took me there several times. The first game I ever attended was a famous game against Syracuse in 1963. He also took me to a game against Pitt Nearby us was a guy whose only " sin" was just cheering for the Panthers That was too much for this old ND fan. Every time his Irish did anything he would tap the Pitt guy on the shoulder and say "How do you like that, Pittsburgh"? It would have served him right for the other guy to punch him and say " How do you like that."?ND had turf put in a few years ago. Maybe both schools want Cal's Mendoza... Or others, and so it wasn't going to work well.Looks like Tino has left for LA. So no prep including him.
That is actually a good idea. The game is 9 days away.I would also find a small IU student, a male under 5’6”, dress him in a leprechaun suit and have him at the practices running around talking shit to the team. For two weeks straight. Just to keep a chip on their shoulder.
Not according to his tweet from todayLooks like Tino has left for LA. So no prep including him.
That’s good. I saw a different one.
