Carsen Edwards B1G stats..

He'll have couple big games yet in the Big ..Not every coach in the conference is as good as Izzo stressing you have to go under all those screens. ..His shot selection has steadily gotten worse..
He's as good as Fred Van Fleet was.Imo.And look at his minutes in Toronto. Their the same size..
As bad as I don't want to admit it.
It looks increasingly like a split with Purdue. ..
If we don't get healthy soon then this stretch could be a nightmare.

Your right, CE had his worst game while at PU vs MSU. Izzo admitted during the telecast that he was guarding with three players at times. Not sure what that says about other on the team, but if you think you have a single guy that will guard him and that will be enough, you're mistaken.
That might be true, but when the rest of the team isn't that good IU is good on help defense. Purdue will probably win in Mackey because that's about all they to play for apparently. That is still short for the next level, Yogi had to hit like 8 3 pointers in an NBA game before anyone would sign him. Never know for sure, he may be successful or be playing in Europe... hope he makes it though.

Not sure who wins at PU or At IU. PU is young and has problems scoring consistently. CE was starting to get the DD treatment on here. Dan was stating on air last year that he was 5'8" - 5' 9". I was mainly responding to the fact he is coming off of one of his worst games and indeed took some Honorable shots. He is a good player and can get rolling in a hurry if not planed for on the defensive side. I am not an NBA fan at all, so I could care less what happens in the future. I do like to see good players make some money. Most of them have earned it over the years.

Makes sense as PU does not recruit NBA level talent normally. Good veteran 4 year college talents. I love watching the NBA, the best players in the world.

I haven't seen them play this season but I saw him last year and the kid can slash and shoot when he had threats around him.

IUs best face up defender is Green. He is quick, has excellent foot positioning and quick hands. In your opinion will he be able to keep Edwards from going off? You used the word "stop", players like Edwards rarely get stopped...but they can be held in check.

@BNIBoiler

Edwards is far from over-rated. If he played for IU, y'all will have him as a lottery pick by now and you know it. I'm not sure about his NBA chances, right now he is one the best college players. Not that it makes too much difference in NBA but as far as his height, he is actually 6 foot.
We here on the message board wouldn't have him a lottery pick it is too easy to look it up....Currently they have Romeo as the 6th pick, I don't think they used our message board to determine that, but thanks for recognizing our knowledge of basketball....

for our broilee fans lurking on this board, and a good laugh for IU fans:
Edwards conference stats:

Games Played: 4
17.75 points per game
8 assists-2 assists per game
13 turnovers-3.25/game
FG pct: 31.9% (22 of 69)
3pt FG pct: 25.0% (9 of 36)

Big game vs MSU, 3-16 fg , 2-13 3fg, 0 steals, 0 assists, 4 turnovers.
not exactly AA stats...
How did that work out for us?

I don't think anyone at Purdue thinks he is a lottery pick. And I think everyone will be happy if he stays for his senior year. If he doesn't then best of luck. He will be a better player when he isn't the focus somewhere.

CE is over-rated. He tested the NBA water without much interest, especially with only 2 rounds of the NBA Draft. Not many 5'10" guards in the NBA. This is the case of a college player who does not translate well to the next level.

You’re insinuating that the IU fans are the ones who have Romeo as a lottery pick. No, the NBA has him projected as a lottery pick. Besides, why would anyone have a six foot shooting guard as a lottery pick?

ESPN just said Romeo is projected as the NBA #5 draft pick. Carsen Edwards was not mentioned.Romeo is the top B1G NBA talent.

Well, I'm not sure where you are going with that comment, but fyi, CE was 6-18 (33%) and 3-10 (30%) against IU today. CE is a volume shooter that has shot poorly in the B1G, including today.

Oh, palmbeachbroilee, you are so silly. You are a broilee lurker, lol at you.
