Campbell came in at 10 and Camper at 4 in Saturday Tradition’s list of noted players (other than QB)

“[Camper] the 6-2, 202-pound junior made his presence felt immediately — and against a B1G opponent, no less.
…, hooking up for 156 yards on 11 receptions in a victory over Illinois. The performance wasn’t a surprise to IU coach Tom Allen, so Camper may well keep this up all season. It’ll be fun to track, at the least.”

”Campbell went 3-for-3 on field goals in the Hoosiers’ 23-20 rally past Illinois. And none of them was a chip shots. He hit twice from 43 yards and the other was from 39.”

Campbell’s 11 pts were also noticed by the Lou Groza award committee

I was and still am proponent of Kevin Wilson toughness and the offensive brand he brought to IUFB. But an aspect of the game I thought he handled weakly was punters/kickers. Allen on the other hand makes them an addition to the offense and defense. Campbell was 1 away from scoring half IU's points against a conference competitor. There is a lesson there and Coach Allen is the professor.

Good for both those players and I hope more honors come in the weeks to come.
