Bye bye :)

This is just as dumb as the **** wits in Texas, way Northern California, Southern Illinois, the entire south, and many other places are when they same the same.
Or the idiots who say D.C. should be given statehood. Pretty much all of of what now comprises D.C. was carved out of Virginia and Maryland. If anything, they should be repatriated by those states.

Newsweek writing a headline like that. A once venerable magazine.

It's a shame.
Reddit is addicted to Newsweek and other rags of similar protocol. I use Reddit as the example because it’s one of, if not the largest community in the world. Many of these news sites that flood Reddit completely lie in their clickbait headlines and the article is of zero substance. Most of their articles have titles such as what “may” happen, what “possibly” could happen, what “should be” the outcome of something. It’s how they make their living by abusing the trust of the left, and the younger generation of the left who grew up on social media just keep eating this shit up, thinking this is what real news has always been. What is more important and takes precedent, is the Reddit user’s opinion, and the likes they receive in the comment section. It doesn’t matter if it’s real, true, or of substance, because it reinforces what they already believe. I use to love Reddit, and I’ve always leaned left, but I don’t have a team anymore because I’ve been told I’m part of the problem.

These news sites and it’s users talk so much of the lies of the right but they do the exact same, cutting their nose off to spite their face. Not denouncing the 70 million white Nazi voters trope, never arguing your opinion on anything that goes against the grain for fear of retribution. Being labeled a racist, transphobic, misogynist, a member of the patriarchy, etc. It’s become so absurd watching the echo chamber of Reddit ruin itself. I mostly blame these “newspapers” that are allowed to lie, but it takes two to tango. Academia has also been captured by the same issues. They go hand in hand.

We need to get back to a point where we can trust news sources in mass again, and they exist for a purpose other than to tell someone what they want to hear. Integrity is at an all time low. There is a reason the majority that voted for Kamala Harris thought they were going to win every swing state battle and have a blue wave, because what they read and the subreddits they belong to told them so, with zero critical thinking, because if one is to question this outcome, they are downvoted and cancelled, being labeled an “insert derogatory name here”.

So many of the austrian and chicago school economic subreddits are overrun with trash flooding the comments. It's become one giant far left group think circlejerk.
