Buzz Williams has had a few good seasons but I'd pick Brad Underwood or Greg Gard before Buzz Williams and that means he isn't close to who IU should go after.

Protege? Crean hired him and was only with him 1 season at Marquette. He was the beneficiary of good timing with Crean leaving for IU after that season, though.

Considering the way the IU Admins and BOT have mishandled this gig and hires over the last 20 years, Buzz Williams would be an upgrade. Style of play offensively is a bit of a concern, but seldom are his teams out hustled, look unprepared or lack competitive drive, which have been hallmarks of IU teams of the last 2 tenures.
