Not true. Most frats and sororities are opening Saturday. If you live in a dorm or greek you can't get in till Sunday. This will be one of the better attended Bucket games in a long time but still not full for a number of reasons outlined already.
There is one or maybe two dorms that stay open for international students.I thought the dorms stayed open for int’l kids and people who weren’t going home. I thought I remembered a handful of people like this.
Is what is it I’m just surprised.
I wouldn't be out of my mind disappointed. The TaxSlayer bowl in JAX we had over 20K on hand and were still outnumbered 2:1 by TN fans. If we get booted from the CFP IU will be in a good bowl.
I say we fight em!Your women are wimps. 😎
Yes. People should not expect 1-loss seasons to be the norm. We could have more talented teams in the future that don't match this record.I wouldn't be out of my mind disappointed.
But the CFP would be a super bowl for Indiana..
Even though I believe in CCC. It may never ever happen again.
I stand corrected. You are far better informed than I.Not true. Most frats and sororities are opening Saturday.
The bucket game has only been played on the Saturday after Thanksgiving for 15 years. Before that, it was played before Thanksgiving. There have been many Oaken Bucket games on Thanksgiving Saturday. In fact I can't remember when they were not played on that Saturday. I know the students are gone but someone said housing, sororities and frats open Saturday morning so there is a possibility a lot of students will be back in time for the game. Will there will be the normal size student crowd? I wonder though about the crowd size. Even after winning, it's going to be cold, a night game, holiday weekend ... all good excuses for fans not to show up. Like the old days.
Ticket prices online trending in a way that there are going to be a lot of empty seats. Is that possible at 10-1 and a chance to pound Purdue? Will lack of crowd noise be a factor? After all, as bad as they are, the Boilees did score 49 against Illinois with a hellacious 2nd half comeback.
Personally I think IU covers the point spread and possibly doing that by halftime ... yet I still wonder about the crowd size.
thanks for that info ... I didn't realize that. The bucket game has only been played on the Saturday after Thanksgiving for 15 years. Before that, it was played before Thanksgiving.
No problem. Once upon a time the conference cared about the players getting to spend time with their families. Before they morphed into the worst employers ever.thanks for that info ... I didn't realize that.
