Why not try to go after someone like Steve Kerr? I’m sure Kerr would not be interested because he can practically get any job in the NBA after his success at GS and the Olympic team. But, I kind if see the writing on the wall of the end if his GS tenure especially when Curry retires. He’d be a good college coach I’m sure and probably can recruit the best shooters!

This is probably the best timing we’ve ever had for Brad. Kids are grown. Son is a walk on at ND. And with the NIL and portal recruiting is really just a transaction now and he could do most of his recruiting without ever leaving Bloomington. The things he hated about recruiting before are mostly gone.

That said, it’s a long shot. Good chance Dolson hires Dusty.

I think many are forgetting that his wife seemed to have made the decision last time and she seems to see herself as Boston (nationally) and Butler (locally) royalty, with zero inclination to take any chance at changing that legacy...

I don’t know that he will come. I know that he was interested last time and things didn’t work out for various reasons. Some of those reasons will no longer be in play.

Personally I would not bet money that he will be the next coach but anyone that says there is no chance is wrong. An offer will be made and if he ultimately decides he doesn’t want the job Dusty will be next in line and will take the job.

One job I don't see someone leaving is Auburn: top-5 team already in place, very good NIL, easy xfers, and a good thing going with their fan support. All we can really offer is being a basketball school, which isn't much, if anything. Bruce would have to want to be a state hero or something to take on the risk of coming here. He might, but that would be a bit surprising.
