Against non-conference teams in the bowls/CFP:
B1G: 10-5, 1 CFP loss by 10, 4 losses by a total of 10 points
SEC: 8-7
. … hardly superior
B12: 3-4
ACC: 2-11: yikes

SEC goes to 2-3
in the CFP:
2 wins (1 by OT) to the 2 lowest ranked CFP teams,
2 of their 3 losses to a lower ranked team.
The narrative's last hope formally died on a scoop and score.

B1G goes to 4-2 against non-B1G teams in the CFP.

Apologies from Herbstreit, Finebaum, Kiffin, etc., are expected shortly. Lol.

Given the Big Ten's demonstrable superiority this season, this should bode well for the conference in the preseason rankings that are released this summer. Then again, I'm not holding my breath.

I’m not confident that the B1G teams beyond the top 4 were as good as those comparable SEC teams. The teams at the top were better in the B1G, but the B1G’s very bottom teams were pretty bad.

Apologies to the poster that said it because I can’t remember who, but whoever said now that everyone can pay players the SEC doesn’t look so dominant was goddamn right.
And that moron Tuberville had the nerve to say IU “went out and bought them a football team”. I do love the redneck language.

Big Ten was 5-1 against the SEC in the postseason. Head-to-head. Nothing speaks louder than that.

Yes, Purdue, Northwestern and Maryland were terrible. So were Mississippi State, Kentucky and Auburn.

Here's an article from a WI fan site that gives a more long winded analysis of your succinct breakdown...:
