Yes, but Woody is new at this particular level of coaching and he knows all of Hoosier Nation is behind his effort. I'm thinking in a hopeful sort of way that Woody will be better off mentally at 67 than Izzo, who looks burnt out after all the years at the MSU helm. At this time, he can't be doing it for the money. It must be the Ego. Woody's appearance still has a freshness to it. The game changer would be if he develops a physical ailment, where chances increase with advancing age (cough, cough).
Izzo definitely comes off now as a burned-out grumpy old man. Not aging gracefully.

Added Pete Nance to transfer/Pros. Ben Carson from Wisky to Utah. Frankie Collins from UM to the portal. Also, Tydus Verheven from UTEP to NW; Jaelin Liewellyn, a Purdue target, from Princeton to Michigan; Terrance Shannon from TT to Illinois; Micah Parrish from Oakland to MSU

--Issac Likeele, 6'5" 215 lbs wing/combo guard from OK State to OSU.....Think of Dennis with a better handle but lower shooting %s.
OSU will be an interesting team to watch next year.
They return very little in terms of currently productive players. Two former transfers, Justice Sueing & Seth Towns, will be back. Both have battled injuries, and Sueing set out this year. They also return Zed Key, Eugene Brown, and Kalen Etzler, a 3* recruit who RSed last year.
They add 8 players, including a 6'11" center, and IU recruit Thornton, from GA, who will likely start at PG. They have 3 other freshman recruits. 4/5 of the recruits are ranked from 41-55 in the 247 Composite list.
They also add 3 productive transfers. T. Holden is probably the best of the 3, He might be a #15-20 transfer nationally. The other guys are probably #30-45 transfer guys.
Lots of guys who can play some, but no stars. Very little experience, not a lot of size, lots of wing players with different role-playing strengths. To me, looks like a probable #3-5 BT team, unless Thornton is a relative bust as a freshman.

OSU has never been interesting during the Holtmann thug ball era.
That style is boring AF but fits right in with the tackle basketball style the conference allows.

Maryland with a nice portal pickup in 6'4" Donald Carey, who avg 13.5/4.4/2,9 while shooting 39% on 3s & 91% on FTs at Georgetown.
Nebraska got a transfer commit from 6'4" 180 lbs Emmanuel Bandoumel, who started all season at SMU and was a sometime starter the previous 2 seasons. He's not rated as a top 100 transfer by 247, but I'm not sure why, as he avg. 10.6 pts, 3.8 rebs, 1.8 assists last year while shooting 35% on 3s, 83% on FTs.
Looking at the BT as a whole, the incoming transfers are a mediocre group, with Terrance Shannon (ILL) being top-rated at #22. The teams that have helped themselves the most appear to be Illinois, OSU, Maryland, Nebraska, and Minnesota.
Updated the list. Not a lot of new news....Purdue did pick up a 2 guard in well-traveled David Jenkins out of Utah. Looks like he can shoot, but definitely not a pg.
