I kind of feel bad for the Minnesota coach they must have a really bad NIL. All four of those guys were in the rotation and they were projected to return everyone and be a top 25 team preseason.

Yes...the transfer portal itself was bad enough.....adding the NIL factor also is REALLY going to consolidate power into not only the traditional top halves of leagues but also to Us w/o much basketball history but with large football revenue, like Nebraska and PSU

Yep that is certainly what it is starting to look like. Minnesota is more into their football team so they probably give them alot more NIL. Going to to be tough for schools like that because they will probably lose good guys every year because of money. I dont like this transfer rule it is nothing but a free for all.

Some pretty substantial departures in Reed, McDaniel, Perkins, Payne, Middleton, Clary, Griffiths, Omoruyi. and Starr from a league that was crappy this year....Minnesota & Rytgers hit the hardest....

For everyone's info, there are several IU-certric portal tracking sites including one called "IU Portal Tracker", and similar efforts on the Daily Hoosier and Peegs sites, all of whom appear to be updated. The IU Portal Tracker site says we have had zoom meetings with Walker, Hickman, and Huntley-Hatfield, but does not say the same about Perkins.

Daija to Memohis; Mady Sissoko (MSU) to the portal

Sissoko was really disappointing from the MSU perspective. He just was not measuring up to what they ask of their big guys as upper classes.

OSU has a nice core to build from.

If you look at the most productive transfers into the Big Ten this 2023-24 season, a trend is that they tend to have similar stats from the previous year. That means if you scout them right they can do their Stetson in the B1G too.

I guess Peyton Sparks is probably wishing he had started out at Southern Illinois.

The Fighting Snookis should be showing up any minute now. Once they get here, they stay way too long.

If Michigan gets Goldin from FAU as expected, Dusty will have them going from last to competing for the top spot!
Interesting facts: Portal Transfers that were 5* in high school
Arron Bradshaw No. 5 high school now No. 27 in portal
DJ Wagner No. 6 high school now No. 71 in portal
Dillion Michell No. 8 high school now No. 76 in portal
Omaha Billen No. 13 high school now No. 60 in portal
Recruiting Rankings don't really have a good history of ranking players.
