Actually, I'll put 5 bucks down on the table now and say that if Trump loses this election, he will try to get back on the ticket in 2024. Now, it is more likely that he goes off and starts his own "news" network and will be wildly successful there with his current cult following, but if it is not as successful as he hopes, his ego wont allow him to go off gently into the sunset.
Would Republican's be dumb enough to put him on the ticket again? Probably depends upon by what margin he would lose by this year. If it's close though, the odds of seeing a Trump / Harris debate in 2024 are small, but not impossible.

The good news is that it keeps Harris far from the Department of Justice. She has a long and authoritarian history on criminal justice issues. There was some speculation that should Biden win, he would name Harris as attorney general. As AG, Harris would have the potential to do much more damage than as VP.

So that kind of deflates the whole 'abolish the police and let the scary, black people take over your suburban neighborhood' tactic.
