Unfortunately lying has become a normal part of the political process. Unfortunately emphasizing the lies with a specially scheduled and prepared address from the White House has also become part of the political process.
Used to be this kind of shit was done at campaign events and candidates avoided using public facilities as a background for campaigning..
That post was hyperbole, but most of us independents and Democrats are rightfully not confident you would ever speak out against Trump on literally anything.
Many on the right seem to gravitate towards power hungry types, much like you gravitate to religious leaders to tell them what to do and think. It's alarming. People lose their ability to self regulate right and wrong. Look no further than the millions that still stand behind the Catholic Church.
A totally disgusting ad specifically approved by the President of the United States. This goes far beyond the impeach Earl Warren ads of decades ago. Now Biden plainly said Trump controls the Supreme Court while lying about immunity. This should be enough to drive millions of voters from Biden. But it won’t. We are watching the disintegration of the U.S. in real time.
