Biden Approval Rating

LOL

People will cite a lot of factors for this. Inflation, unwanted identity politics, not being able to string a sentence together, etc. None of them are incorrect.

But what really kicked off this decline was Afghanistan. He was at 50%+ approval before that, and hoped he would be able to weather the media storm for a couple weeks, he was wrong.

That type of cowardice, abandonment and disregard for human life is completely antithetical to American's national self-image.

In the set of all Americans, there is only one person certain to be less competent than him. The Republicans chose that person. Hopefully we get smarter, and younger people in 24. But recent history suggests not.

I suspect he meant to say great negro league player. But he screwed up. Presidents after the last two should learn to never, ever, stray from the teleprompter.

Of course, I'm just pointing out how stupid he looks

Yep, he has problems. There is a saying we do not get the leaders we want but the ones we deserve. Damn have we been very bad to deserve the last two.
Maybe this is the new norm. Guys stuck in government for half a century, or vapid virtue signalers, or empty, narcissistic reality show people, or Ivy League weirdos like Hawley/Cruz/DeSantis. Maybe "normal" people don't want the job. I read that moderates in the House are trying to rebrand themselves as "normal people" instead of moderates. Even they recognize this collective is an odd assemblage of humans

Normal people don’t want what the liberal media will do to them. None of us haven’t made mistakes in our lifetimes. The media will set out to find those mistakes and destroy you. It’s not worth the fight.

Exactly. Like Tucker Carlson last night stating that Harris isn't really from this country because she attended high school in Montreal (Carlson attended elite boarding schools, including one in Switzerland), and suggesting that she slept her way to the top.

Suggesting? It's a proven fact.

I think all the people saying that the Democrats are gonna get beat badly in 2022 are jumping the gun by a bunch. A year is a long time in politics. I am so tired of one party getting elected by a 53-47 percentage and coming in and acting like they have a mandate to do anything they want to because the whole country if for them when, in fact, they only have a little more than half the country backing them. Also the ones thinking than the Democrats are gonna get beat badly are underestimating the ability of the Rs to screw up everything.

Respectfully, I think they are going to get rolled in 2022. That has been the norm in the off year elections for awhile now and I don't really see things appreciably turning around between now and then. Inflation is supposed to persist. My bet is that we are still messing around with COVID because moving to the endemic phase would mean relinquishing control. Schools are still going to be a battle ground. The Democrats are already signaling that they are moving from the "We don't teach CRT" argument to the "these people just don't want to teach real history and want white supremacists to pick curriculum" line of attack.

I think motivation is going to be on the side of the GOP. School board elections alone will have me at the polls.

Harris is perfect. She’s a worthy VP. About as perfect as Sara Palin. She’s doing great job. Just look at her approval rating.

I can't stand her, but that wasn't my point and it wasn't yours. You argued that the liberal media seeks to destroy political (presumably conservative) figures. My point is that this isn't strictly a function of liberal outlets and/or MSM. Fox News has perfected the art of character assassination, and they are the original "faux news."

And you may be right but i think it's way too early to predict that. Voters have a very short memory. If Biden would give away a lot more free money late next year you never know what would happen.

lol, she couldn't hold up a candle to Palin. Palin was an expert in foreign policy because she could see russia from her back yard don't ya know.

I have no illusions that 2022 won't be a bad cycle for the Dems, but as you said, that's been the case for the party in the White House for decades. What I doubt is that we will still be fighting over Covid. I see the Feds declaring victory this spring -- they tried to do that in May but got blindsided by Delta and the anti-vax and anti-mask backlash once they tried to tighten back down. If the public health situation really is returning to a semblence of normal by summer and the economy gets leveled out, the Dems might actually be in a position to buck the trend. But a lot of things would have to go right. I'm not counting on it.

Yikes

It has gotten so bad that Hillary is actually being touted as an option (Douglas Schoen article in WSJ) in 2024. By some glitch in the Matrix, watch us end up with a 2016 rematch. Lol

Hillary and Trump.

Good lord, is this the best this country can do?

I saw that OpEd in the WSJ and laughed. There is no way Hilary is going to run again and she won't have the support of the base IMO.

There is something wrong with BIden or maybe this is just who he always was. The talk of trump being a divider by the left but their guy biden is just a flat out hater and filled with rage. The dude is doing all he can to divide us and why his approval rating is never going to improve.

Hillary’s calling tens of millions of Americans deplorables was divisive & disgusting. But Biden has gone further, calling those who disagree with his actions & policies domestic enemies, traitors, and racists. Biden promised to unite us, but he is doing all he can do divide us.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) admitted Wednesday that President Joe Biden went “too far” when he equated opponents of Democratic Party proposals on voting rights to segregationists and unapologetic racists.

Biden was in Atlanta on Tuesday when he made a pitch to pass sweeping electoral reform and threatened to end the filibuster so that Democrats can advance legislation if opponents continue to stall it. During his speech, he made comments that were viewed by many as nothing short of demagogic:

No way to slice it these are just horrible numbers for Biden and are getting worse not improving. Given there are like 4% more dems in the usa it makes it even worse.

Hmmm "A new Quinnipiac University poll found that only 33% of voters approve of President Biden, while 53% disapprove. A poll by the same organization in early 2018 put Donald Trump's approval rating five points higher."

Biden and his Bernie/AOC idiots better get their socialists policies through quick.

The Dems are going to get annihilated in 2022.

Like I've said before I think you are jumping the gun a little. A LOT can change between now and November and NEVER underestimate the ability of the Republicans to screw up any advantage they might have.

What have you seen Biden do to make you think he’s going to turn things around? We’re headed for a recession.

In theory but it is hard to see what would change as Biden does not some interested in moving to the center. He is getting crushed with independents and his agenda is basically dead now.

Pretty hard to improve your numbers when you call those on the other side racists and segregationists all the time . They are not doing anything to moderate just continuing with far left wing stuff. The independents are not going to vote dem unless something changed drastically but the dems seem to have zero interest in coming to the middle. I will not even go into the record inflation, etc.
