I like your style. I think I have (4) Hi-Res left. Gotta work on that.I had my last Hi-Res of the year on the patio with dinner so good and so dangerous.

Sadly, I have NOT had Mosaic Promise. My local gets all Founders' stuff, but not that. I've also tried relatively hard to secure SMaSH from ST, but have not been successful.Have you had Mosaic Promise?
As I said above, I picked up some of the 2XSmash from ST. It was good, but neither me or the Mrs thought it as good as my, homemade MP clone. The mosaic is defiantly there, but the malt doesn't have that unique counter balance like the Golden Promise malt....which has a sweetness to it, without being too much. The SMASH just tasted like regular pale ale malt

Secure the Hi-Res. Thank me (and Phish) later.Just spent 5 mins looking at that or the 2XSmash at the store. Hadn't had either, and there was only 1 sixer of SMASH left.
I take it you highly recommend?

Hi-Res is an GREAT DIPA. It is 10.5% and it is smoooooth so it can be dangerous.
Very much recommend it.
You should get Mosaic Promise soon. As I posted in another thread we just got it today. I grabbed two six packs. Bottled 3/2. I can't wait to compare it to Lizard King head to head.Sadly, I have NOT had Mosaic Promise. My local gets all Founders' stuff, but not that. I will succor my wounds with the magnificent Desert Rose.

PF is 3F's best beer, IMHO. Blot Out The Sun is 2nd, again, IMHO.The smoothest DIPA I've ever had is PF from FFF. 10%, and it's smoother than several 7.5%.
I did a clone, based upon some recommendations. I used a fortune worth of Citra hops. And it came out about 9%, and was also ridiculously smooth drinking, tasted like a 6% beer. Which was scary, as after 2 pints you still wanted more, but then the trip to the basement for a new pour suddenly became a bit more challenging.
I haven't tried to make again. I want to make something that was as good flavor wise, but doesn't put you on your ass, (or make you miss work the next day if you can't stay away from the tap.)
Not from what I've had on tap. I've preferred Mosaic Promise. Maybe you're correct on the packaged format. I'm about to find out, though the LK a couple weeks older. Shouldn't make a big difference.IMO lizard king is at least 2 levels above Mosaic Promise

Great information. Was planning to head there before the game. Now go **** yourself and I'll post in your thread if I feel the need to.went to Deviate Brewing today as well as Black Acre.
Deviate is IMPRESSIVE. Great beers. The coffee banana beer and the dark chocolate cherry stout were world class.
Great information.had an EPIC score on the beer front today.
Received two Prairie BOMB!, Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail,18th St Bitch B Crazy, 18th Street Undercrown, Mikkeller Mosaic, Mikkeller Monk's Brew, Evil Twin Freudian Slip and 18th Stree BA Hunter.
Also found a 2013 KBS in my cellar that I forgot I had. #Winning
Good to knowHaving this Mikkeller Mosaic tonight. Wow that is a damn fine beverage.
Really?I've heard of it but haven't tasted any yet. They are very highly touted and rated on untapped and beer advocate.
Nice artwork broI did find out about the BOMB release through my share group. I did happen to see two other folks from the group at the store. I did not however wear my shirt. I left straight from work.
Our logo....![]()
Great storyOne store in town "gets it". They got 2 cases of the 18th and 1 case of the BOMB. It it funny to watch the guy in front of me bypass the BA Hunter for an Oberon and then the guy after me had a 30 rack of Busch Light.
There's a support group for that.@hoopscat I got raped. $15.99 for a 12 oz
Again great stuffTMP replying to a beer thread = Outside shitter replying to all the pats football/tom brady posts.
We get it man. Your point is valid and taken. So why continue to beat a dead horse?
Your answer of "to educate us about it being a boring buzz that is lame and boring" is also beating a dead donkey...
alright O. The 2013 Darkness needs to hit my door soon.
Holla atta playa. I have a couple things I think you would like.
I don't mind you facking with TMPHIt 'em up TMP. That's why facked yo beyotch
We have discussed my lack of creativity at length. I'm a poser at everything I do. I'm not creative.
While you diagnose this post I hope you a safe travel back to normalcy.
HollaPoor TMP... always deflecting.
“I’m the Dude, so that’s what you call me. That or, uh His Dudeness, or uh Duder, or El Duderino, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.”
That actually sounds delish. Thanks to Ovaltine for his care package today.
Already chilled and consumed the Light Speed APA while grilling some veggies to pour over my udon noodle and thai basil sauce.
Hard working man you are phishy.Had a Jai Alai with my salmon for dinner. Had a Ninja vs Unicorn for desert and now having a Pipeworks Raspberry Truffle Abuction all fine selections. Final course will be a mosaic hopped Lizard King.
Long day at work ....
Cheers
That's pretty amazing. Youre a really healthy dude.haven't puked in probably 11 years or so. It wasn't from booze.
@twenty02
18th Street is the real deal. It takes a dump on FFF. Although Hoops likes to rave about New Oberpfalz it isn't bad and the russian imperial is amazing but they can't hold 18th Street's jock. Neither can FFF.
18th Street has a flagship "Hunter" stout that they do variants on like coconut, coffee, vanilla, etc. Their hoppy brews are so good. They rarely miss. I mean like 5% of what they try fails.
I'm only on page 3 and I've decided I've spent way too much time responding to your posts.those who enjoy a russian imperial stout w/ coffee and chocolate ...... in a can.
Holy shit this Big Ricc by Tall Grass is good. I got it off of France44 which ships out of MN so I assume Ovaltine can get it but WOW. Coffee bomb!

18th Street is the real deal. On all counts. I don't know if they take a dump on FFF, but they're the brewer that no one's heard of that is doing some phenomenal stuff.@twenty02

I came to this thread originally because I enjoy beer. Certainly not to your level, but I'm open to trying new things and I actually respect your opinion among the other beer advocates on here. You may not want me on here, but there's no reason to be such a dick. If you really care about craft beer and want to support those who make it then it would best serve the industry to share your knowledge with everyone. Im part of the everyone so don't be just an inclusive dick. That's all.
Rule #1 - it's not "craft beer" (although I just used that term for simplicity's sake), it's just beer.I'm only on page 3 and I've decided I've spent way too much time responding to your posts.

There was a point in time that Gumballhead was Little O's favorite beer. He's moved on - he's my younger beer ninja.I hope they get more down here. It was just the first offering. It was cans, which is promising....but do they distribute/can a lot up north? Or just from the tap room?
As I said earlier, FFF is becoming an afterthought. When you are seeing stacks of gumball on the floor untouched, you know people are moving on.
I do not have that knowledge in my beverage-addled melon. Hoops will know.@ovaltine and @Hoops Cat
isn't Drew from Pipeworks ? I thought I heard that a year or so ago that he was trained and worked at Pipeworks before deciding to go out on his own.
Hoops would know this answer.
