It's all by design. The fix is very simple. Allow the disabled and very elderly to vote absentee with strict signature matching and full transparency. Allow in person voting the 2 weekends before the election and of course on election day. That's 5 full days to vote in person. How is this not common sense?

Florida can count absentee votes before election night. Penns cannot and I blame repubs for that as well as they passed that dumb mail in voting law. No reason it should take Penns until Friday to have a result but the politicians passed the dumb law. People will always questions election results when the vote counting drags on for days and even weeks sometimes.

Weren't changes made during covid? Have we rolled back to precovid or are they still in play? And yes people are incredibly stupid/naïve but there is a remedy for it. find out what issues give rise to the perception and address them.

Dude, do you work anywhere with technology? There are literally thousands of polling places across teh country. They generally aren't permanent and t he average age of poll workers is about 103.

The fix is simply to stop the fear mongering. All dbm did was take what Indiana already does and make it harder to vote absentee (deployed military, anyone?) and give us far fewer early voting days (you understand a lot of the working class doesn't have a traditional weekend, right?) - there is nothing in what he said or you said that would make the election any more secure. Social media worked with FBI to suppress, Hunter's laptop which enough voters said they wouldn't have voted for Biden to change the vote. Now we are suffering high inflation Biden and his administrators saying it isn't so bad and they diminish the crime in their cities. There are a lot of things to go wrong like in AZ which Hobbs is running so do you think she will be honest about the vote by machines not counting some ballots.

the problem is the further down the food chain one gets, the less one gets holidays off. For the past few years workers for many retail stores haven't even gotten Thanksgiving off (though many are returning to closed on Thanksgiving). Many restaurants and gas stations are open on Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is hard to totally shut down an economy if someone thinks they can make a buck. There is probably some way it can be done by having it on a weekend and making it illegal to work someone on both days. though that creates more issues, some smaller towns don't have mass transit on Sundays or a very reduced service.

Or why not offer mail but require a thumbprint on the envelope for those that want to use mail?

Contrast that with Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania has a law that prohibits even the pre-canvassing (taking the mail-in ballots out of the fvcking envelopes) until 7am on Election Day.
