The highest likely hood of plane complications, from natural sources is 2 minutes after take off and before landing. The 180 degree turn after takeoff would be indicative of an engine failure, but totally against procedure to fly straight ahead and find an open spot to land. 99 out of 100 take off issues that have an unplanned, off field landing, that end in catastrophe, happen when a pilot tries a 180. (nose ends up too high, loss of lift, pilot see's Jesus and then shortly after meets him.

This is nothing determinant, but just one piece of knowledge. A pilot pulling a 180, with lack of thrust which is what creates lift, and lack of altitude, creates one big lawn dart. And it sucks to be on the plane at the time. But only for a short while.

Listening to NPR all day, there were a lot of Syrians and other international talking heads saying that they have a chance to establish a proper representative government free of outside domination if they choose to. I'm not holding my breath, but that would be a welcome outcome for the region.

It is the same with Lebanon: sometimes the country lights up like the sun itself, only to be brought down in sectarian battles for reasons we should have left behind us a long time ago. It is 2024. The Salvation government has been governing in the NW for years, and they have so far really focused on making the trains run on time, rather than widespread social upheaval.
