Assad in big trouble

Syria falls, a loss to Russia and Iran. Iran's partners near Israel are fairing poorly. Russia keeps losing more and more in their war, see below.

Syria is a bit of a wildcard, the victors certainly aren't allies of ours, so we aren't "winning" but Russia and Iran are losing.

Everybody loses, in the long run.

Everything is connected. Oct 7 and Ukraine led to this.

Meet the new boss, likely worse than the old boss....
I think the Taliban continued to allow girls to attend school for a few weeks. Once the media is done giving head to these monsters they will start lopping heads off. Bibi wants credit for Assad's fall. Be careful what you wish for. Jordan next.

So are the rebels religious? Are they going to be more of a headache for Israel in the region?

300 Christian churches, 20,000 Syrian Christians are now totally unprotected in Syria, which was the most diverse and tolerant of religion in the region.
Their blood will be on the hands of Western neocon war pigs.

The explanations available for the rapid descent and sudden disappearance are very limited
The highest likely hood of plane complications, from natural sources is 2 minutes after take off and before landing. The 180 degree turn after takeoff would be indicative of an engine failure, but totally against procedure to fly straight ahead and find an open spot to land. 99 out of 100 take off issues that have an unplanned, off field landing, that end in catastrophe, happen when a pilot tries a 180. (nose ends up too high, loss of lift, pilot see's Jesus and then shortly after meets him.

This is nothing determinant, but just one piece of knowledge. A pilot pulling a 180, with lack of thrust which is what creates lift, and lack of altitude, creates one big lawn dart. And it sucks to be on the plane at the time. But only for a short while.

Listening to NPR all day, there were a lot of Syrians and other international talking heads saying that they have a chance to establish a proper representative government free of outside domination if they choose to. I'm not holding my breath, but that would be a welcome outcome for the region.

lol, shows just what a racket NPR has become. Syria has no chance to be such.

It’s Christians are already under assault

Who knows the what, when, where or who that video even is. Could be anything

You really believe that rebels from Al Qaeda (and possibly ISIS) origins are suddenly going to support cultural, ethnic or religious diversity?

Much of the mainstream media call the invading terrorists “moderate rebels.” Is the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham/HTS a moderate group? Who are the HTS militants?

Mainstream media has always claimed they are “moderate rebels” when in fact we know they are neither moderate nor rebels. They are the same militants that beheaded women and children, just rebranded with new names. These people want a theocratic country. Syria is in need of reforms, but they will have to be democratic and respect human rights. The Syrian people have suffered for over a decade now, regardless of their political or religious views. War, disease, sanctions causing famine, lack of medicine, lack of electricity, the list is long. It is the same with Lebanon: sometimes the country lights up like the sun itself, only to be brought down in sectarian battles for reasons we should have left behind us a long time ago. It is 2024. We even have artificial intelligence created in the West. Meanwhile, in the Middle East, people are dying for reasons they don’t even remember or fully understand.

Those opinions may turn out to be prescient. Or they may turn out to be flat wrong. We don't know. Just like you don't know what that video actually is that you shared.

One of the reasons that some people have cautiously looked toward the new government with optimism is that it isn't really a new government. The Salvation government has been governing in the NW for years, and they have so far really focused on making the trains run on time, rather than widespread social upheaval.

Not saying we shouldn't still be wary, of course.

All we need to do is look at pictures of who is celebrating. 99% men and no women without hijab.

Yea cause everyone who doesn't agree with their ideology was either killed or fled long ago.

Give it 5 weeks for the media to stop paying attention like Ukraine, like Gaza, etc and the executions will start. If you ain't Sunni run. They want a sharia state and they have very clearly stated such.

The Turks need a regime change or a boot from NATO, take your pick.
The Muslim Brotherhood governs Turkey, and soon Syria. Erdogan is the leading proponent of 'Islamic Democracy: One Man, One Vote, One Time....
Israel will use their nukes, likely in early 2025.

Goat, so much has happened in the Middle East since say the fall of the Shah of Iran in 1979 which appears to have surprised our intelligence agencies and now the events in Syria that as you say, "We (just) don't know".

Given this, put your money on betting against anyone or anything making a prediction about the future of Syria.
