I'd like to believe that Dolson just didn't read the fine print on that contract... 🙈

Anyone but Adidas next time around... (looks like it'll be awhile though...😖 We have a contract with them for another nine and a half years...........😳🙉).

Please..., no more "special" uniforms...

Nike uniform designs are to Adidas like Ralph Lauren is to the JCPenney’s ”Fall Collection.”

i don't get the 'fear of god' thing.

Here's the Wiki version:

Some see this as "cutting edge" fashion...

Looks to me closer to 1920's retro...

Whatever it is or is intended to be, from my perspective, our uniform should always be and remain, our Uniform..., and not something to be tweaked, twisted, or screwed with to appeal to the bizarre fashion whims of those with zero real interest in the program outside of the possibility of making some quick bucks...

76-1 and BRCB discussing IU uniforms...

One of my teenagers said they were "fire"... I corrected him, and made sure he knew what the correct interpretation for those uniforms should be... But I'm not sure he got my message because he responded with "Bro chill".

I'm not sure teenagers are going to be buying many of these special IU uniforms...but I do know that Nike is losing some of its grip on the "fashion side" over the teenagers that I'm around.

Its stock price is saying the same thing.

tell those kids to get off your lawn!

Who the F cares about uniforms?
I'm more interested in seeing a coach capable of using some of the talent we've paid big $$$ for; and so-called talent, keeping their heads in the game for 40 minutes.
I agree..But kids that are studs in AAU get affiliated with certain shoe companies..It's the way it is....
And most are Nike guys..

I used to follow this more closely...but I'm not sure this is true any more. Adidas 3SSB circuit has tons of high level prospects every year. Indiana Elite might be more highly regarded than Indy Heat, as a local example.

Under Armour's UAA and even the Puma circuit are also starting to attract top talent.

Nike doesn't have nearly the same grip it had even 3-4 years ago.

You play like shit….you deserve to wear shit. Fits our program quite nicely.

"The Fear of God brand that adidas is partnering with is very hip, cool with students."

So are ripped jeans but that doesn't mean much with most basketball fans. What ugly uniforms but I guess the basketball program had some money to blow.

you mean pegged jeans?

You can clarify that for him next time:

Ask him if he’d feel the same way if the design was by Skechers.

I believe it's spelled "Bruh Chill"

Ha...New Balance is infiltrating its way in to teenage culture. Lawn mowing shoe New Balances, at that. That one is a head scratcher.
And white ankle/crew socks. I sometimes workout at the university gym and feel so out of place with my style. Everyone wearing white shoes and socks.. And guys with perms/broccoli heads. And dodging people recording themselves for Tik Tok.

I'm curious what Cig would say to these Fear of God Awful unis if they tried to get the football team to wear them? I was very happy to see him stick with the traditional look every game this year. He strikes me a completely no-nonsense type of guy. These freaking alt unis for basketball are pure nonsense.
Anything to take attention away from Bigfoot's shitty coaching, I guess.

I understand that we're an Adidas school and the recruiting "impact".
But this is at best a distraction. Just like having a "white-out" which only serves to point out that the fans are more attuned to what's important than our coach, players, and the clowns putting on the neato uniform event.
It's one freaking game which I'd like to see all the effort and production focused on winning. If I wanted a fashion show I'm sure there's a cable channel for that.

A White-Out during Black-History Month? That won’t ruffle some feathers!🤔

Right, because the BASKETBALL people are the ones involved in this. *eye roll*
