Archie's reaction to Devonte question

Not sure there’d be much point in playing Race at this point. He’ll likely be way out of sync with the rest of the team from lack of both full practice and playing time. I don’t know the rules regarding redshirts so would he still be eligible for a medical redshirt even though he’s already redshirted once?
Isn't a medical redshirt different than a regular redshirt? I would think Race is eligible for it and I would rather see him use it rather than play now. As you said how up to speed would he be after sitting all year.

He must be doing pretty well because Archie said "he wouldn't be surprised if we use him down the stretch"

Let’s say Race starts playing and we see an instant difference in the performance of this team. What will the “injuries are an excuse” people start saying if/when a player who has been injured all season comes in and we suddenly start pulling out some wins and hanging tough in games?

Ummmmm are you not aware that Archie is on a 5 game losing streak? Where have you been lately?

And yes, Holtmann is far superior to Archie imo.
I'm well aware of IU's own losing streak, just pointing out that he probably isn't "far superior." I know the reason you think he is is because he wasn't hired by Glass. If the roles had been reversed then Miller would be "far superior" in your opinion.

Our offense sucking doesn’t change the fact that Race hasn’t practiced or played much, which is my point. By what you’re saying, playing Race would (likely) make it worse.
He might not make the offense worse and could really help on rebounding. He gives us another tall defender and rebounder.

Archie said Race wants to play. It isn't up to you.

he's also high IQ, good passer and a good shooter. I doubt he helps much at least right away. Conditioning might be a factor.
Race can help just by being an offensive threat on the perimeter he opens up the driving lanes and the paint.

I like his passing ability and willingness to put a body on someone. I still don't think he'll help much this year but he has a future.

If the results were opposite and Archie was showing good game plans while Holtmann then yes, I would agree. But if both coaches were doing what they’re doing now at opposite schools I would really like Holtmann. And we would all be pointing and laughing at archie. That’s just a fact.

No... that's an opinion. Please try to learn the difference.

You can't honestly expect anyone to believe that your comment about the losing streak wasn't a dig at Archie. Especially when it was in response to a comparison of the two coaches.
You used Holtmann’s losing streak as a reason why Archie is better. That’s how all of this started. And you ignored that Archie is on an identical losing streak. Get a clue man.

Could be. We also have no idea what, if anything, is going on behind the scenes and what Archie is doing about it. Green has just been “suspended indefinitely” and it looked to me like our guys at least started out with a good effort against NW the other night. Who knows, we could find out about all kinds of off-court issues. We might see another suspension or possibly a few transfers after this season. Pure speculation. Point is, we don’t know. It could also be we’re just bad.

I agree with the overall content of this post except for the last statement. I don't think overall the team is bad. Yes, they have played poorly during the current losing streak but that doesn't necessarily mean they are bad. What I see, for whatever the reason, there is no on-court leadership nor do I see anyone that has the personality of getting in someone's face when they screw up. Only hint that I saw of that in the NW game was RP late in the game. As good as JM&RL are they seem to hold any emotion to themselves. Problem is RP is a freshman & it appears the older players don't look to him for leadership.

As far as every thing else that's going on in practice & off the court, like Superfan said, it's only conjecture, nothing more, nothing less.

The original post I responded to said that. I don’t know if it was you or another sunshine pumper.
I think that was my pay and I never said that Miller was better. I just pointed out that the guy you keep saying you'd rather have was also on a 5 game losing streak. But reading comprehension really isn't your thing.

he is only a tall defender and rebounder if he can actually do those things. otherwise he is another jake forrester sitting on the end of the bench

I like Race's shooting ability that is what struck me the most, and I didn't expect, before i watched him play in person.

You were clearly insinuating that. Now you’re backtracking once presented with the facts. Facts that don’t fit your narrative.

It was not me. But if it was... I'd rather be a sunshine pumper than a Debbie Downer any day. You may be the most depressing poster on this site - win or lose.
What if you had the option of being realistic - good or bad?

Once again you are full of sh#t. He did NOT say that Archie was better than Holtman and did NOT insinuate it either. What he did say was people like you had stop talking about Holtman. Here is the quote.

"Also, weren't you one of those earlier in the season and last season talking about how much better Holtman was than Miller? This 5 game OSU skid seems to have stopped that talk."

I agree with the poster that said that reading comprehension is not your strong suit.

I insinuated nothing. That is all your interpretation which is extremely biased. So if you took it that way it's your fault, not mine.
