Was priceless. Will be shocked if he ever plays significant minutes again. Also Race has been full contact for 2 practices.

I have a feeling this was a developing story and things have changed since the team left Bloomington.

Our first indication was a 3 game suspension. It changed by the same people to him being out indefinitely. It could have been inaccurate information, or something chanced after Green was left alone in Bloomington. Some change or texts from Green to the team could have had a negative impact on the team before the game

I don't want his actions to negatively affect our APR.

Do we have an estimated date or time period for Green's "violation"? He played in the Purdue game on 1-19-19, but the team has been playing like crap since at least as far back as the Maryland game on 1-11-19.

The reason I ask is that I wonder if the team knew the writing was on the wall earlier than we mere fans learned. In past years when something like this happened, the suspension announcements were preceded by a mysterious, unexplainable deterioration in team play for a period of time before the suspensions were announced. Was curious whether there might be signs that had happened here.

I assume Race is cleared now but Archie doesn’t feel like he’s good enough to play?

Would like to see AM take a lesson from Holtman tonight. After a series of questionable to awful calls against the Buckeyes, Holtman goes nuts on the refs and gets T'D up. Fires up the kids and hopefully gets the calls evened out.

He only practiced full contact twice. Hopefully plays Friday. Archie said he was going to play soon. I think the quote was "I wouldn't be surprised if we use him down the strectch"

OSU'S defense was horrible in the first half. Giving up open 3's .

Not sure there’d be much point in playing Race at this point. He’ll likely be way out of sync with the rest of the team from lack of both full practice and playing time. I don’t know the rules regarding redshirts so would he still be eligible for a medical redshirt even though he’s already redshirted once?

I'm wondering the same. Something has happened to this team.

So the offense the last five games has been in sync? 51 points and 55 points were in sync?

Our offense sucking doesn’t change the fact that Race hasn’t practiced or played much, which is my point. By what you’re saying, playing Race would (likely) make it worse.

The coach, who a lot of folks won't criticize, wants him to play. He practiced all last year and all preseason until the groin injury. Maybe he won't be scared to shoot a wide open shot when no one is guarding him. He should know the defense and offense better than any freshmen.

Really not sure how it could get worse? The more he plays it will get better. If Archie misses the tournament his first two seasons with a Top 10 pick and a potential NBA player, I don't think that's a great thing for his resume.

Because of the concussion he hasn't been practicing with the team until very recently. Did you consider that Miller might consider him more "not ready" to play than "not good enough" to play? Who am I kidding? Of course you didn't, that wouldn't help your agenda.

Also, weren't you one of those earlier in the season and last season talking about how much better Holtman was than Miller? This 5 game OSU skid seems to have stopped that talk.

Yep, Archie has a top 10 NBA draft pick on the team. A top 10 NBA draft pick and a bunch 100-150 ranked and unranked players who are on constant injury rotation. Romeo is a fine player but not dominant enough to make up for what we lack outside of Morgan, who is absolutely the only decent inside player we have. I’m surprised Morgan scores as much as he does because it’s nothing for teams to collapse on him all game when we have no 3pt shooters. I’ll wait til Archie gets a decent rotation of guys he specifically recruited. Forrester looks to have good potential and Phinissee will be a real good PG (he’s not bad now) when all is said and done. Hopefully next year Hunter looks like the top 50 player he was coming out of HS. I think Archie has done what he can with the rest of the roster that Crean brought in...who wasn’t a good recruiter when it came to balancing a roster.

I don't necessarily disagree but I think there is plenty of talent to be better than they are. And some of the things that they don't do well have nothing to do with talent.

Archie just said he is going to play! If he doesn't get hurt again. Who said he isn't good enough to play?

The level of talent has nothing to do with the piss poor effort that this team has been putting out. I'm sick of watching guys jog back in transition D.

Super Fan: I see it the same way. I'm not down on CAM at all. (I hate losing). The roster has not panned out this year. Way too many injuries. Kids giving effort but we're getting torched by 3's and can't respond because we can't shoot 3's well. We are not talented enough without Race, Jerome, Devonte, and Deron playing at a high level. Injuries to McBob, Rob, and Al have been setbacks too. We got beat by NW because a red shirt junior went unconscious from 3 at home. It happens. Seen it many times.
Go hoosiers!

Could be. We also have no idea what, if anything, is going on behind the scenes and what Archie is doing about it. Green has just been “suspended indefinitely” and it looked to me like our guys at least started out with a good effort against NW the other night. Who knows, we could find out about all kinds of off-court issues. We might see another suspension or possibly a few transfers after this season. Pure speculation. Point is, we don’t know. It could also be we’re just bad.

I think we will hopefully start playing better. Devonte needs to be off the floor. Phinese needs to look for his shot more. Don't play Davis until he can be physical enough to play inside. Hopefully Race can add a little something.

All of that stuff is totally possible. But the standing around started immediately. The confusion started immediately. Some of the lack of effort started pretty early. We'll obviously never know the cause. Maybe there's more than one. Maybe there are 100. Maybe one is coaching? Maybe they're all dumbasses? Maybe maybe maybe.

We'll see. Hopefully they can salvage the season.

Hopefully. There is a difference in overall play and the types of teams we can beat when Davis is able to play a decent amount of minutes. I also hope Race can add something, but I’m tempering expectations. Maybe he will be able to add something since he spent all last season learning the system, but he still hasn’t been able to practice and/or play much with this current roster.

He must be doing pretty well because Archie said "he wouldn't be surprised if we use him down the stretch"

Ummmmm are you not aware that Archie is on a 5 game losing streak? Where have you been lately?

And yes, Holtmann is far superior to Archie imo.
