I am 100% with you on texting, I think talking on a phone is different hand held or otherwise myself but I also only did that in low traffic areas when it was legal.

Personally conversing with a passenger is more distracting than a phone for me. As far as texting, it's worse than people being a little over the limit driving to me. No way you can text and drive.
