Anybody calling for CAMs Head...

Smith and Durham didn’t play a single second with Crean. They’ve been with Archie since day 1.

They were recruited by Crean, just as Jared Jeffries, AJ Moye, Jeff Newton, Dane Fife, etc. were recruited by Knight.

I like Durham a lot but he is a Crean player (except that he probably gets a longer tenure because Miller is now the coach).

Not yet but good coaches find ways to win if we struggle the rest of the way his seat will be hot next year because unless we get Brooks and some shooters we could miss the tournament again. To me I would fire him after 3 seasons with no tournament appearances this is Indiana not Dayton.

If you are going to pin a tourney hope on a player then I would say getting Romeo back for his sophomore year would be the one player who may make a difference.

i like durham too. wish he would add a few pounds. frozone lookin' motherf@#$%^

This should be fun .. vbg .. hey @twenty watch this .. this dude is a complete joke.

So, tell us about "adjustments" .. using examples and some detail. Let's start with something real simple. The way we guarded the high ball screen. What went wrong and what should IU have done. And please note which plays were a player mistake vs a coaching strategy mistake..

Coach Dunning Kruger, you are now in the spotlight..........
Wow...Archie should read this too...or at least his apologists...

Damn...I had ignored TMP for so long...

Yea we need him to come back but there is no way to much $$$ to lose. I still think Brooks is very good not Romeo good but still a very good player to go along with Jackson-Davis.

Had to love this part of the article:

“In fact, he told me that research subjects were willing to criticize their own previous poor skills once they were trained up and could see the difference between their previous poor performance and their new improved performance.”

Ok, @fpeaugh - let’s hear that breakdown on the “lack of adjustments” . . . .

Same exact things were said about Crean.

If you can’t notice his teams come out flat and play uninspired I can’t help you.

If you can’t see his offense is stagnant and never takes advantage of mismatches I can’t help you.

If you can’t see the lack of adjustments, no out of bounds sets, questionable substitutions...again, no one can help you.

Some of us know better. Calling us morons is incredibly ironic.

How are you not the Coach of this team, or for that matter any other college or pro team?
I don't understand why you have not taken it upon yourself to bring us at least 5 more National Championships with your superior basketball knowledge. I bet your phone rings off the hook with coaches asking you for advice.

You think I’m going to go take all that time to go through that game at your request? No thanks kid.

And I don’t have all the answers. But with IU’s $$$ I promise you I could hire someone who does.

I have no business coaching. Never said I do. And never said I know more than any college coach.

What I’m saying is with IU’s budget I can find someone who does know how to coach. Very simple.

Of course they were. And Crean gets credit for recruiting them. But Archie is responsible for how they’ve developed.

You happy with the four-game skid, including getting blown out at home against NEBRASKA!? You happy with the team looking like zombies to start nearly every game? At what point does CAM get the blame?

not happy and not saying we shouldn't blame CAM. the team has looked awful the last two games.....but calling for his head after TWO awful games? lol

It is absolutely mind boggling whenever I see (& not just on here) someone mention the possibility of Romeo returning.

There is no chance he returns.
He is gone.
Period.
Start preparing yourselves for this mentally bc some of you are having a really difficult time with this apparently

I'm upset as anyone about the last two games but fire Coach Miller now, or even before the end of his contract, and you might as well forget hiring a high quality coach. Who is going to want to come into a situation where he's not given the time to turn a program around and doesn't have the support of the administration? You'll also lose most of the incoming recruits. Times have changed, like it or not, players make their decisions where to go based on the coach, not the college. If not, what changed that Romeo decided to come to IU after Archie became coach when IU wasn't even in consideration when Crean was coach?

You would’ve said the same thing about UK too when they fired Gillispie. And they hired a top 5 coach in the country.

Elite coaches aren’t afraid of elite expectations. Plain and simple.

They did play hard.

Criticize him all you want but his teams always played hard. You can’t question that.

WOW. Really?!?!

Creans later years teams played with no intensity at all.
In fact I will say it was probably the biggest most noticeable negative besides his turnover issues.
Cams team now is playing VERY identical.
Its hard telling which coached teams played with less drive.

Hey, Jay Edwards left too.

So the team that won the Big Ten 3 years ago didn’t play hard?

The only reason we got Romeo was the dumpster fire at UL. Otherwise, he would be playing for slick Rick right now.

Green, Morgan, Davis, McRoberts.

Do you ever get a fact right?
He probably didnt realize the Archie Apologists would give Crean credit for McRoberts or Morgan...
They like to claim only the players they dont like much as Crean-guys...and if they do ok then they are because of Archie

Forrester and Fitzner, and so on dont count against Archie either though.
But Green, Moore, Durham, and Smith issues are because they cant be ‘unCreaned’ or whatever phrase the Archie Apologists use...
