Pipedream for us more than likely, but man would he help us out. He's averaged 24 points or more each of his four seasons at Detroit and is a career 38% three-point shooter.
C'mon Mike, help us out here!
For his career, he's a 41% shooter on 20 shots per game. 89% FT shooter.I've only seen him play a couple games. Without going and looking at his stats, its seemed like he was a very high volume shooter. Meaning it took him a lot of shot attempts to get his points. If I remember right though, he did get to the free throw line a fair bit.
Obviously if he is actually a legit, elite level scorer, it would be incredibly cool to have him come full circle and play for IU. I would have to think IU, having fired his dad, wouldn't be a consideration for him though.
He would definitely fill the roll of "high volume" shooter we've been looking for! Kid will probably be able to have his pick of any college, but I wouldn't totally count us out. His Dad has always been high on IU and talks very positively about his time here.
I do not think Mike Davis is like Bob Knight I doubt he holds a twenty year grudge against IU.I've only seen him play a couple games. That's a good point. For some reason, I was thinking he was in the 6'3"-6'4" range, but after checking, it shows him at 6'1" and only 165lbs. That's pretty small for the B-10.although, dude is tiny, and I'm not sure how effective he'd be in the BT and could be a huge liability on defense. I think its more likely he'll end up in the Big East or AAC.
Well, for starters, MD would have no just cause to hold a grudge. Let’s be clear about that.I do not think Mike Davis is like Bob Knight I doubt he holds a twenty year grudge against IU.

During Davis’s postgame press conference, in which he continued to express his gratitude to Indiana, he was asked whether he would consider rescheduling Indiana in Assembly Hall during future seasons. He quickly replied, “hopefully my son can play here one day.”Not gonna happen. We fired his father. My money is on Michigan
Mike Davis has never had a bad word to say about IU. He's been nothing but gracious.I do not think Mike Davis is like Bob Knight I doubt he holds a twenty year grudge against IU.

This is dumb. Knight did a little more for the state of Indiana than what Davis did.I do not think Mike Davis is like Bob Knight I doubt he holds a twenty year grudge against IU.
Knight also kinda acted like the whole state fired him when it was really just a handful of dudesThis is dumb. Knight did a little more for the state of Indiana than what Davis did.

Ohio State has had many six foot shooters be successful there in past. And they usually exaggerate roster size
Is Indiana University a state school? If it is then he did get fired by the whole state. Myles Brand was the head administrator that was responsible for this department if you will for the state of Indiana.that's true.
Alford was 6-1 or 6-2Ohio State has had many six foot shooters be successful there in past.
Fatts Russell is under 6'0 if I remember correctly. He's had no issue producing in the Big 10. Bigger guards have become the norm, but being smaller doesn't mean they can't make it in the conference.although, dude is tiny, and I'm not sure how effective he'd be in the BT and could be a huge liability on defense. Evidently MIke Davis said he would love for his son to go to IU. Somebody reported this on another site.I've only seen him play a couple games. Without going and looking at his stats, its seemed like he was a very high volume shooter. Meaning it took him a lot of shot attempts to get his points. If I remember right though, he did get to the free throw line a fair bit.

Skiles and Alford weren’t bad for being smallish guards. Many more examples too down through the years. This kid would be awesome with X and Jason.Ohio State has had many six foot shooters be successful there in past.
This kid runs circles around Parker. Just far superior athletically and a great shot creator.Ball was always in his hands and always had the green light under daddy/coach. He could play at IU but I’d guess it would be hard pressed to get 10-12ppg out of him in the B1G but his 3 pt shooting would definately help. Parker Stewart averaged 19.5ppg under daddy/coach against about the same level of competition and nada. Even tho AD game is more advanced, the 6’1” bothers me. I’d definately would love to see him at IU and see what happens.
Seems like whenever someone comes to IU, their shooting % and/or shooting volume goes down.Ball was always in his hands and always had the green light under daddy/coach. Don't forget Yogi! He is 6-0Alford was 6-1 or 6-2
It wasn't like it was put on a ballot and everyone in the state had a chance to vote on it. He got canned by Brand with the AD carrying out the firing. Is Indiana University a state school? If it is then he did get fired by the whole state. Myles Brand was the head administrator that was responsible for this department if you will for the state of Indiana.

dumbWhat will Thanksgiving Dinner look like at the Davis house now? I hope there isn't familial bad blood.
