Why would any kid worth a spit come play at IU? Terrible coaching, losing winnable games. Just can't imagine why anyone would come to IU.

Fan base is a result of the product on the field.
I don't know. Ross Ade was packed today and that team is as bad as ours. Our fans prefer tailgates in the parking lots and basketball.
It would be totally irresponsible to fire him before the buyout drops

Just being objective, Purdue has a much better football history than IU. That isn’t saying much but it is true.

First year PU coach: they still have some hope. Another year or two like this and they won't show up.

The PU fans sure didn't show up during the Hazell four year disaster. Ross-Ade looked like Memorial Stadium, only uglier. There are very few programs that can keep fans in the stands with year after year pathetic play. Nebraska would be one of those.
They have more passion for FB, they heavily promote discounted tickets, they are not the social culture IU grads are, their tailgate scene sucks and there is not much to do in WL.
Adds up to more assholes in the seats.
