After IU scored with 58 seconds left, I knew SIU had enough time to

score. We have seen this too often before. I was hoping Jones would go down where he caught the ball so that we could have eaten more time off the clock before scoring. Thankfully, the defense rose to the occasion when SIU went for two to win the game.

Thought once we got down there should have taken 3 knees forced SIU to use their timeouts and kick a 20 yard fg as time expired. No reason to let them have the ball back. Had flashbacks to the Ball State game a couple of years ago

I was thinking the exact same thing. Pretty clear SIU let us score on 1st down.
