BBQ is about the only reason to go to Texas.

I hope the river there is bigger than the one that goes through San Antonio. Not sure how that drainage ditch qualifies for a river.

But yeah, New Brounfels was settled by Germans. There's another town in Texas with big German influence, Fredricksburg, that is also about an hour or a little more outside Austin and San Antonio.
Very interesting. Debating on hitting River walk too. I doubt I’ll be in that part of the country again any time soon if ever

It's definitely worth going to and the Alamo is just steps away. It's fun with a group to bar hop along the 'river'.

The idea that increasing productivity leads to inflation doesn’t make any sense

We aren't talking about productivity snarl. We are talking about economic output (GDP). Productivity is a contributor to economic output, not a result of.

BTW, what are your thoughts on this?

You don’t own any retirement funds? It’s no different Mas. Occasionally, you have to trust third parties. Stop being so paranoid. Also, you’re just advocating for self custody.

Was he talking about the dollar or Bitcoin being a ponzi scheme? I didn't peg you as the type to take advice from bankers, Mas. Jamie Dimon's b#tch a#$ can cry harder. Bitcoin doesn't care about his opinions.

I listen to everyone except the two or three douches on this board who are grievously stupid and insufferably arrogant...
I don't count you among them..
But I love my precious metals, and the Corvette they bought for me...
To each his own..

A lot of people believe theory over history.

All anyone has to do is look at Trump's first term and realize you can have low inflation, tax cuts, and tarrifs at the same time. All that needs to be done is slow, or hold, spending. But politicians can't keep their hands out of he cookie jar.
I believe history so Trump first term gave us 25% of the federal debt at time he left office- over 7 trillion in debt- do we expect the same in term two? Trickle down means pissed on- but you got your social security, it’s folks who are still working who are screwed!

It’s actually in some place called new braunfels. His brother said it’s close enough to Austin so we’ll a trip of it there
New Braunfels is great. When's the wedding?

There's a big German festival house there, but also some places along the river. If the weddings in the summer, you can tube the Guadalupe or the Comal, that wanders through town.

In addition, I'd check out the Gruene Hall, on the other side of the Guadalupe. Old school Texas dance hall that gets great bands...

It wasn't going anywhere near that rate before Covid. It wasn't like he got an infrastructure bill that built....... nothing, but drove up the deficit.

Fantastic!! Thank you. June wedding. This looks way better. Brad scared me a bit with that water park. I was expecting I’d come back with a 1 percent ownership interest in an abandoned train car renovation business for a $2,500 investment and legionnaires. Franklin’s bbq was going to be my highlight. But this looks great

Wurstfest is the best Oktoberfest I’ve been to in the States. I would say best in the world outside of Germany. Blackout drunk tubing down the Guadalupe is a little slice of heaven. Cool little town.

So the Comal (the river I posted a pic of) basically winds through town, and goes right around the water park. It should be hopping in June.
