“If he lied, he has to go”

Presidents always look better as history passes along.....GWB was considered an illegitimate President and a war criminal..... Bill Clinton a lying cheating Devil.

Don't hear much of that these days....hell, I had a loyal right wing Republican tell me last week he feels bad as he is starting to miss the Obama era......
You could dislike Obama and/or his policies but at least you knew he was smart, competent, and in his prime. Can't say the same about trump/Biden

Everyone looks better when compared to Trump. And while Biden isn't as awful as some make him out to be, he isn't going to make it to Mt. Rushmore.

What happened was that Trump apparently mixed his boxes of unlabeled, supposedly private lawyer files in with his boxes of classified documents without labeling the boxes to reflect this. Aren't there different security standards for each group of documents? Paralegals and private attorneys are not automatically cleared to sort through boxes of classified material to find attorney documents. But the FBI was authorized to grab everything.

If he didn't clearly label his lawyer boxes, I doubt he has ground to whine that the FBI thought it all was government material and fair game under the warrant. The FBI was not required to read all the documents in the Mar-a-Lago basement before taking the boxes. Trump should have put his legal files somewhere else.
Well, you gotta first remember that the attorney client privilege is mostly a rule of evidence. It says you can’t use evidence of an attorney client communication, with a bunch of definitions thrown in. Because it’s not legitimate evidence, you also wind up with a bunch of fights about Whether you can ask for/discover them. Then, With the advent of a need to either make a very expensive look at everything that was in a computer so you can sort out attorney-client stuff, or just produce it all and let the other side sort it out, you began to see approval of “claw back” agreements That allowed disclosure of those multiple thousands of pages and still prohibited the use of attorney-client privilege documents when the other side saw privileged stuff.

Thus, until some lawyer or prosecutor tries to use any attorney-client communication against Trump, he has no real beef other than a wine that they weren’t careful in executing the warrant.

Overall, this is a speeding ticket at the Indy 500. Trump kept documents he shouldn’t have kept. His political opponents found out and acted like he had murdered millions. Politics all around.

What this country needs is a good pandemic that only kills lying politicians. Although I would not complain if it also killed their sycophant media helpers.

She’s the worst of the worst. Parents who have girls entering her Sorority should get to read her posts on here first.
Lmao. 99% of my parents would agree with nearly everything I say. They are educated, liberal, and from big cities. Think I had two families in 6 years that were conservative and they didn’t like Trump. ( PS it’s not MY sorority)

We forget in Zeke's narcissistic world that everyone loves her and all she does are great things. No wonder she hates Trump she is just like him.

Yeah, but what I saw from the inside (a fed at the time) was an administration that started to believe the ends justified the means. Bill was Bill, a political phenom. My boss at the time told me his in-person charm was off the charts. He was virtually impossible to dislike if you met him in-person.

But people below him (including Hillary) started to believe they were entitled. By 2000 it was time for a change. But then came Iraq and the missing WMDs. No more Rs for me.
I've heard something similar about Clinton's in-person charm. I've met a few people who have met him in campaign offices or at heavily attended DC events and almost all of them say the same thing you have. To varying degrees, everyone who I know who 'met' him said he had a way of seeming to listen to you as if you were the most important person in the room regardless of who else was there or even if it was just a quick interaction.

If it werent for his lying and the POS he was married to he is for sure better than our current President. I said when Hillary was running if you were a president's spouse for 8 years you should not be eligible to be President just like Bill wasn't. I'd say the same thing about Republicans as well, but it is even worse when the wife is actively involved in politics as Hillary was. fathers and sons are different , as we have had two sets far removed in history and there maybe influence but not like husbands and wives living in the White House together.

Morals certainly don’t matter for Trump supporters. That’s been clear for years.
George Bush was by all accounts a morally good person, he was a terrible President. Clinton on the other hand was a moral piece of shit but what I consider a pretty good President. Many politicians moral compass are jacked up and I could care less. They can bang chicks everyday and twice on Sunday's if they are doing what I believe the office of President is supposed to do.

I rather enjoy the fact that some want separation of church and state, but want to bring morality into the discussion. You will probably come back with mortality and religion are mutually exclusive so don't bother IMO religion is a basis for one's moral beliefs can't have one without the other.

You've convinced me. I'm not voting for Melania for president even though she is pretty-right Uncle Mark.

For me, not a babe. Something just too artificial about her.
I may as well hold out for Cara Mund-former Miss America, Harvard law school grad running as an Independent in North Dakota:
