Basketball vs football ticket pricing - a first?

Having selected my football seats yesterday I noticed that my basketball season ticket renewal application is live in my account. The price per game for my football season tickets is $53 while the per game price for the upcoming basketball season is $54. I am wondering if any other B10 school has basketball tickets priced higher than football?
This is the first time by my recollection that IU basketball per game tickets cost more than football.

OT Pat Kraft

This dude is the luckiest SOB on earth. Now back in my day, I could out drink all of you, combine. That does not include Pat Kraft. I have never seen a more raging alcoholic than Pat Kraft some 15-20 years ago. This dude would literally be on the floor of nicks nightly. He would get so drunk he would just mumble and look at you like he should be in a padded room. Him and my buddy "Mule". (he was a football player also go figure) loved each other and would just do drunk noises like a couple injured elephants.

Anyways, I have always got giggles about everyone fawning over him. Guessing he quit drinking like me. lol

The Draft Was "Authentic" - Justice Roberts

I don't much care if Roe is overturned or sustained. But this leak is unacceptable and much more of an attack on democracy than the January 6 riots.

My initial over-reaction is that this person is another Julius and Ethyl Rosenberg and/or Assange/Snowden, overruling a whole society/population and taking the wrong things into their own wrong hands.

I hope they go to jail.

Oregon to install tampon machines in boys bathrooms at schools.

Thanks to the Menstrual Dignity Act that just passed, local taxpayers are now on the hook for thousands of new tampon dispensers in boys’ bathrooms. This latest madness, which affects every public school and college in the state, is expected to cost up to $400 a machine. And school custodians aren’t the only ones upset about it.

“This will show all of our youth, and especially our trans youth, that the bathroom they’re using, that affirms their gender, that it’s for them,” argued one Portland resident, “and it has the products there that they might need.”

Legislators agreed, expanding a bill that was originally intended to give female students free sanitary products at school. Now, in an absurd gesture, the state has decided to “affirm the right to menstrual dignity for transgender, intersex, nonbinary, and two-spirit students” by trying to “minimize negative attention that could put them at risk of harm … during menstruation.”

Frost & Nebby get a gift ((errrr..., Penalty)) from Emmett in his way out the door... 🙄😣🙈

If that approach to enforced compliance is now the standard penalty for that particular infraction we'd be foolish to not just completely ignore the "countable coaches" rule and just go full bore, full on, all in coaching from everyone under contract from now on...

Wichita State transfer wing Dexter Dennis planning Indiana official visit

There were some reports about it earlier today. Got it confirmed. Looked like it will be at the beginning of next week.

A few quotes in here from Dennis about his communication with IU.

Illinois@IU, Game 3: IU 11 Illini 7. IU holds the Illini scoreless over the final six innings...

RHP Braydon Tucker is on the mound with an ERA of 4.72 in 34.1 IP, while RHP Riley Gowens is on the mound for the Illini with an ERA of 4.54 in 39.2 IP.

In the 1st, Tucker allows the first two batters to reach on a single and a walk, but he gets a K for the 1st out. A double steal puts runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out. Tucker then gets another K for two outs with runners still on 2nd and 3rd. Tucker then issues a walk on four pitches to load the bases with two outs. A single through the left side of the infield scores two runs to give the Illini 2-0 with runners on 1st and 2nd with two outs. A ground out ends the Illini's 1st as this game starts off like the one yesterday with the Illini getting two runs in the 1st.

In IU's 1st, Whalen fouls out, Jesse walks, and Pyne is hit by a pitch to put two runners on with one out. Mathison then hits a 431 ft. three-run homer to give IU the lead at 3-2. Doanes pops out, but Tibbetts then singles to put a runner on with two outs. Ellis lines out to end the inning, and both starting pitchers have thrown a lot of pitches in the 1st.

2024 point guard Travis Perry note...

2024 Lyon County (Ky) and Indiana Elite point guard Travis Perry is visiting Indiana on Friday for an unofficial visit, he confirms to me.

Indiana reached out during the first live period when they watched him on the Adidas 3SSB circuit when it was in Indianapolis.

Perry had a 25-point game last weekend at the Bill Hensley Run N Slam in a two-point win over Indy Heat.

Spring Practice LB Roster

Back in the day, the fullback’s isolation block lead the tailback through the hole.
None of this roster looks to fill the bill to take on the isolation block and push the
fullback into the tailback, like All Big 10 Donnie Thomas. They even seem small to
take on the prototypical back in a one-back offense. They better be fast:
I know 2 are. (#0 and #4). With this size, LBs will need DTs to play well.

Just the fact that Cam was interviewed for the March 4 press event suggests to me that,
he is expected to lead the LBs, the front 7 (6), and the defense in general. The past two years,
Cam cleaned up McFadden’s mayhem. If McFadden didn’t make the play, Jones got the benefit
of McFadden disrupting the play. Last year, Cam had good games, when the game plan was to
keep McFadden at bay.

This year it will be interesting to see, if Cam becomes the designated blitzer, or if Jennings
(I’ll pencil him in as the 2nd LB in Allen’s 4-2-5 scheme) fills that role. Hopefully Jennings is
versatile enough to take turns filling the A-gap. With this size they’ll need to attack, and
evade blocks with speed and quickness, or they will get pushed around giving up 100 lbs.
to even IUs OL. Let’s hope Jared Casey, from UK’s outstanding rush defense provides
some reliable depth.

I’m not sure 4-2 LB is Dasan McCullough’s best Fit. But it could be the D’s biggest need.
I think he may have enough instinct, agility and speed to play Husky.
If he fills out, his natural position may be Bull (edge rusher).
Let’s be glad Dason enrolled early, so DC Wilt can figure that out, in Wilt’s own position group.
