What do you think should be the next facility upgrade for Indiana?

Posing this question here because I'm interested to see the responses. There's a lot of good stuff in the thread of what your expectations for a successful season are, so I'd like to get your input again.

With the announced improvements to Memorial Stadium's north end zone facility to build a football-only strength and conditioning area, what do YOU want to see done next?

- Upgrades to Memorial Stadium?
- Mellencamp Pavillion renovations? A new practice facility in general?
- Improvements to aspects of the fan experience on game day?

What would come next for you?

Did you all know that ND & Miami are now AAU schools?

Both became AAU members this year. B1G was always going to give ND a pass on this prerequisite for conference membership so that one is not a significant development. However, this makes Miami a more acceptable member from the perspective of the University Presidents. The U would still have to get out of their ACC media rights deal but they are a new candidate to watch.

State of the Hoosiers, August

Team just got done with an 8 week summer stent mainly focusing on strength. This group of guys will be the hardest working team we have had in a long while. The players have actually been told multiple times to stop working out. The stamina and conditioning will be second to none.

Sounds like Payton is the real deal. Expect him to play a lot. True big with B1G strength and great finishing ability. I expect 1st off the bench for Malik or Ware.

KB has shown a jump, I think he has progressed more than CJ at this point. Things can change, but KB is looking like the 7th man right now.

Mack is the real deal, I expect him to be our leading scorer and 1st round pick. Our ceiling is gonna depend on him and Ware.

X is a grown ass man. Been fun watching him mature. If you don’t do dumb shit, you can’t learn from it. X will show everyone what a great leader he is this year. The work gym rat mentality starts with him, they all follow. No question who the leader is.

B1G Refs: Time for a change?

For years I've believed the refs had little to do with the B1G under-performing in the tournament. And I do not recall the coaches or ADs ever pointing to it as a concern. Yet, it is inevitably noted by fans when the conference tanks in the post season. That and the fact playing on the road in conference is many times comical with the foul disparity.

Are the refs a real concern? If so, should those at the top be questioned about it? Maybe they make a decision to try something new in regard to how the games are called. Move away from the plodding, physical play that has produced no champions in decades. Make it more attractive to recruits with a more free flowing style?

With the new teams on there way soon, does it make sense to change now?

Some other questions: Are fans of the B1G assuming it is the only physically tough conference? What proof is there that the current setup is working?

I ask because I've always taken pride in the conference being tough. But the results speak for themselves and i have to question whether the conf is doing itself a disservice.

Just curious – what would qualify as a successful year for Indiana this year?

I'm curious for some perspective on this heading into the season.

- Do you have a set benchmark for a number of wins they'd have to reach?
- Does it involve the eye test and actually looking like a better performing team?

What sort of criteria does Indiana have to reach for you to qualify this upcoming season as a successful one? Potentially a story idea here.
