Official Prediction Thread: IU vs. Rutgers...

and what are we drinking tonight?

Anybody else looking at this game as a play-in? Last Big 10 spot goes to the winner? Sure feels that way. With that in mind, let's hope we come out and play like our NCAA tournament life is on the line, because it probably is. Rob P is back and we'll have the home crowd behind us, both will certainly help. We need X to keep playing the way he's been playing, same with Race. A big game from TJD certainly would help our cause as well. Other than the 30 he put up in the Wisconsin loss, he didn't have a great February. He needs to stay out of foul trouble and be a force on both ends of the floor.

I think we get it done tonight. It'll be a tight one, but we'll pull it out.

IU 74
Rutgers 68

Ten Ninety Juice God for me tonight.

What say you Hoosier fans?

GO HOOSIERS!!

My keys to tonight’s game

Who guards Harper? He’s 6’6” and 245. With our usual starting 5 I would guess Kopp but I’d prefer Race. Tough matchup either way.

Depending on whether Rutgers tries to pack it in to stop our inside game then we need to hit shots (duh!).

Finally, I think X is playing now with supreme confidence and focus. If he stays out of foul trouble and goes for 18+ points and 6+ assists we win by 10+.

-5, Senior night

Last home game of the year, and the last of the 3 must wins to go dancing. If you told me before the season our tourney would come down to a game vs Rutgers….. I’d tell you you were full of shit.

I will admit I did not see that 5 game losing streak coming, did not think we would see a streak like that again. NW should be a W, but that is not how it played out, and Woody wanted to make a statement.

We win tonight we are riding hot going into the hippo hunters den with house money. It is always fun to play with house money. How do we get that money???? ALL FREAKING Aboard! I am losing my voice tonight, I already bought my damn dancing shoes!!!!!

Interesting look back at B1G preseason media poll

League champ Wisconsin was predicted to finish 10th, three places behind the Hoosiers.
Johnny Davis didn't finish in the top 12 vote getters for the predicted All-B1G team.
And unfortunately the media was, however, pretty close to predicting IU's finish in the standings.
