Conference play is upon us as our Indiana Hoosiers take on the Bruins under the lights (well maybe by the third quarter) of the Rose Bowl. What are we thinking about the game today? Updates from the program? Hoosiers attending, how is Pasadena? I for one am excited for potentially the biggest game of the 2024 Indiana football season. This game will make Indiana looked at as no longer a bottom feeder this season or Hoosier fans will be left wondering if conference play will be more of the same from the last three seasons.

I saw a stat on CCC that intrigued me, so I did some light research, which I'd like to share.
It appears Bill Malory is the only other Coach in "IU HISTORY" with over 100 head coaching wins at any level.
Put that in your pipe for a wake-n-bake.
In addition, as many here already know, Bo was the last IU coach to have an overall winning record at IU, which was 1947.
It's not our imagination, Cig is a real winning HEAD football coach. Been a minute since we've seen one around here.

I bet the So Alabama v Northwestern st game last night. I use this service, and the over was a highly rated play, don't know anything about either team. but it seemed like over 60 was a very solid play so I make a pretty significant bet

Out of curiosity look up the final score it was 82-10 So Alabama, told myself damn should have bet even more that was a gift.

Go to settled wagers and I did bet it correctly. notice it just refunded the bet. l look closer at the transaction ticket it states bet canceled game not official, was stopped before 55 minutes of game play due to the mercy rule. when in the hell did college football put in a mercy rule, didn't know anything like that existed beyond 10-year-olds baseball. who decides when enough is enough? why did IU never use it against Wisconsin Ohio St or Michigan during some of the down years.

I received an unusual piece of mail yesterday and wanted to know if anyone else has received one. The envelope has no return address, but my address appears on a piece of paper in the "window" position of the envelope. When You open it up, at the top are a listing of about a half dozen of the largest Credit Card Issuers in the Country. The text says that "They" have settled huge amounts of consumer debt with those issuers. If I want to see if I qualify for Settlement, I need to call Them within 10 days of the letter at a number with an 888 prefix - God knows where that number is located. I must give Them a "Code" to be put in touch with one of their "friendly representatives". I assume this is so They can transfer my initial information to one of their representatives who probably has a Jamaican or Nigerian Accent Who will get more information from Me. Did I mention that there is no identification of the Company or Organization sending this and this is nothing like a letterhead stationary?
So my take is that They have my address information to send Me a letter. They are trying to imply that the Credit Card debt needs to be settled and I urgently need to call Them (by the way of the half dozen Banks listed, I don't have a Credit card with any of them). Once they get Me on the phone, They will ask for more personal information on Me and probably Credit Card and Bank Account Information. They will then use information to access or use my accounts, or sell the information on the dark web to another scammer.
Just wondered if anyone on the Forum had seen this type of letter and had the same take that I do.

that is, one well run organization, they can afford to alienate the gays, the Lucy's and other groups, counted 28 vehicles in front of me when I got in line, had my sandwich in 7 minutes, never encountered or seen any employees with face tattoos or meth mouth. in contrast the burger king next door had 3 people in their line the last car was still there as I was leaving.

There's a ultra-slim possibility that we might catch them looking ahead a bit (towards LSU) but given that this game has historic significance to their program in that it's their first as a Big Ten Conference member that's probably unlikely... I expect we'll see their best shot...

Somehow I can't imagine the scrawny, unbathed, let's go protest the latest faux cause, types who would appear to make up their student fan base as being able to "intimidate" anyone..., much less a Team of Big Ten Football players...,but I suppose they can always hope... The best UCLA can expect from this move is to possibly slightly distract rather than actually intimidate... (in my opinion).
