INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Indiana and Notre Dame meet at Victory Field in Indianapolis on Tuesday, April 21, at 7 p.m. ET for one of the most highly-anticipated games of the season.

Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. ET and first pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets starting at $8 at IndyIndians.com. Students, faculty, children ages 3-14 and active members of the military receive $3 off the gate price, while children age 2 and under will be admitted for free.

SCOUTING NOTRE DAME
••• Notre Dame leads the all-time series, 64-31-1, in 96 meetings since 5/1/1901, a 14-3 win in favor of the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame won 17 of the first 18 meetings in the series.

••• Tuesday marks the two schools' first meeting since March 1, 1998.

••• After the Hoosiers won 10 consecutive meetings (3/31/1984-3/25/1989), Notre Dame has taken the last six (4/26/1989-3/1/1998).

••• Indiana has 22 players from the state on its roster, while Notre Dame has four.

••• This is Indiana's first-ever game at Victory Field, which opened in 1996.

••• Indiana is 26-7 in neutral-site games since the start of the 2013 season.

••• Since 2013, the Hoosiers are 23-7 in mid-week tilts (10-3 on Tuesday; 12-5 on Wednesday; 1-0 on Thursday). IU's 23-5 mark in such contests includes records of 14-3 at home, 6-4 on the road and 3-0 in neutral site games.

A LOOK AT THE HOOSIERS
••• Indiana is 21-15 overall after dropping two games at No. 11 Illinois on Friday and Saturday. Sunday's series finale was cancelled due to rain.

••• The Hoosiers are 16-7 in non-conference play, including a 5-1 mark in neutral site games. Indiana has won five straight neutral site games, including a 7-6 victory vs. Xavier at Fluor Field, home of Boston Red Sox Class A affiliate, the Greenville Drive.
