It’s indictment time again….

Always assume everyone is a rational actor. The Freedom Caucus isn't made up of people who are too stupid to understand what can and cannot get done. It is made up of people who are smart enough to realize they have the power to accomplish what they really want to accomplish: make governing impossible.

I agree with a lot of their thoughts on the size of government….but it’s like they don’t understand the makeup of the Senate

Biden or Kamala. Rock and a hard place.

It's better for Republicans to let Biden continue to implode, but bad for the country, which is being run by leftist committee.

But Kamala....... It's no-win for the country.
"It's better for Republicans to let Biden continue to implode, but bad for the country, which is being run by leftist committee."

Is there any wacko conspiracy theory you aren't gullible enough to fall for?

If there was a "leftist committee" running the country behind Biden, then Biden would be popular with "leftists". There wouldn't be all these fringe left wing types attacking Biden and running 3rd party candidates if Biden was controlled by leftists or even promoting a "leftist" ideology.

When Biden is losing support among young people for being too pro-Israel, not supporting a ceasefire in Gaza and increasing US oil production, those are the opposite of "left wing positions". That's why these early polls showing Biden losing support among traditional Dem constituencies are "fools gold" for Trump.

Young people want a ceasefire in Gaza and are angry at Biden for not forcefully calling for one. So they're going to turn to Trump who would likely prefer that Gaza be wiped off the face of the Earth? These younger voters are like kids having temper tantrums, but in the end who are they going to end up supporting? The guy whose positions are not extreme enough to their liking, or the guy who proposes policies and positions diametrically opposed to their actual beliefs?

That's why Trump's continued insanity and Biden pointing out the danger he poses to democracy will have a massive effect. The bullet points from the most recent Quinnipiac poll in PA...

"In the key swing state of Pennsylvania, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump remain in a too-close-to-call hypothetical 2024 general election matchup with 49 percent of registered voters supporting Biden and 46 percent supporting Trump, according to a Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pea-ack) University poll of registered voters in Pennsylvania released today. This marks the first time in Pennsylvania that Biden has a numerical advantage over Trump in the 2024 presidential race.

In October, a Quinnipiac University poll in Pennsylvania showed Trump with 47 percent support and Biden with 45 percent support. In June, Trump received 47 percent support and Biden received 46 percent support."

But when you dig into the specifics you seem some shocking results....Like the fact that Biden leads Trump in the over 65 demographic 60-37%. That's much higher than the 49-44 lead he has among the 18-34 demogrpahic or the overall 49-46% lead.

And while the top issues for Pubs is border security, the top issue for Dems is preserving democracy. Among Independents those 2 issues rank equally important...

"Given a list of 11 issues and asked which is the most urgent one facing the country today, 24 percent of voters say preserving democracy in the United States, 23 percent say border security, and 15 percent say the economy. No other issue reached double digits.

There are wide gaps by political party.

Among Republicans, the top issue is border security (46 percent) followed by the economy (25 percent).

Among Democrats, the top issue is preserving democracy in the United States (44 percent), with no other issue reaching double digits.

Among independents, the top issues are border security (22 percent), preserving democracy in the United States (22 percent), the economy (15 percent), and the cost of living (13 percent)."

More good news for Biden in that poll... Shapiro is the most popular figure in the state (59%) and Casey (Dem) has opened up a double digit lead over his Trump supported challenger McCormick for US Senate...

Cool. $10 sbx drinks and maybe he’ll revert to pandering to progressives and we can make San Fran America. Attack oil and everyone else. Floor can start a new gas price thread. Without an election in the offing he can go back to his old ways

It's not a whacko conspiracy to think Biden isn't actually making decisions for the country.

He can't even find his way off a stage.
