He is in Louisville at Stevie Rays, staying at the Gualt House and taking in the fall meet at Churchill. I asked him what he thought about Indiana at Maryland. He said in the past when a team against Indiana caught a pass for 14 it would turn into yards after the catch, this year it is a open field tackle. Improvement on the defense. He said he would take Indiana pls 14.5 and hope for the best. The Capper doesn't work, hangs out at the track and can cash a check in any bar in three states.

I once sat in millionaire’s row during the Churchill fall meet.
Prices were affordable then.

My MS Thesis advisor had me cash his winning Derby ticket.
— lots of hedging on that ticket.
He spent that Derby Day in the infield.

Denny Crum’s horse won a late race that day
— Too bad I didn’t bet it.
I won just enough 2$ show bets to to have enough cash left for dinner.

All my South Spencer friends graduated in 78. Great story. I still like our improvement on defense. PS, in 78 I was the LTC's driver in the 2nd Cav.
