That one was very suspicious to begin with. It had pure money hire written all over it. Woodson was trying to generate some kind of positive direction toward next year. Might have been an I-owe-U situation.
It's sad, but it seems stupid to not shop yourself around widely seeking the best offer.
Then you can still pick the best fit as far as school, majors, and other factors, after you know the top three or four bids.

What happened to his "love of the IU basketball history" he claimed when he committed? This is good and doesn't surprise me. It was all about the money and any possible promises made to him by Woodson. Besides 6'6" 3 point shooters are a dime a dozen in college basketball, you just have to recruit them, close and sign them.
So what if he’s chasing money. I would shop deals after a coaching change too. He may still get the best deal at IU but it’s stupid to not look.
I would like to hope there's a viable reason for this. But I do agree, it seems strange there hasn't even been a conversation.
DeVries was hired, then Zrno decommitted. If DeVries wasn't interested in Zrno, and Zrno had already decommitted, why would DeVries have any reason to contact him?

False. People understand that logic, however, what people are questioning is why he doesn't want him. More importantly, how he knows he doesmt want him and he didnt even talk to him. Our roster is not exactly flowing over. Come on, do better.
He mentioned the amount of film he’s been pouring over in an interview a couple days ago. Starts and ends his days reviewing film. Waking hours filled with talking, recruiting, etc…. Getting about 4 hours of sleep.
Not a stretch to think he’s watched the film. Talked about Zyrno with trusted contacts, and isn’t interested.
I would put that at about 10x more likely than DeVries ducking them, being lazy, or whatever negative inference people can dream up.
Not sure. It’s common to de-commit when a coach is fired but still have interest in that school. Return call seems appropriate to me.

He should at least return the call or text and say no thanks. No sense in burning bridges with the agent. Too little info to make a judgement though.

I don’t know DeVries, never met him, maybe he’s lying about working 20+ hours a day right now to field a team? Maybe he is unprofessional enough to not at least send a “thanks but no thanks” text? I don’t know? But I do know an agent lying about it probably more likely.

No one is calling DeVries out at all. He may have logic, and that was clearly defined. However, unlike you, I don't blindly assume. You assumed Woodson wasn't making mistake after mistake. Defended him until you finally came around.
What you need to realize is its OK to question things. You don't need to be as mentally soft as Charmin.
One thing we know. If that text is real - I really don't care to find out - the agent is unprofessional.
You must have the wrong poster. I was off the Woodson wagon 2 weeks in to his first season. Gave his hiring a famous C+ grade, etc…
