Very early in the war with Russia President Zelensky was seen live on CNN asking the West for aid. Behind him was a picture of President Reagan. He pointed and stated President Reagan was a man who knew how to deal with the Russians. The picture disappeared never to be seen again. Why? Did President Zelensky loose his respect for the former American president?

He made his point? He changed locations?

You guys having fun. The question on the table is the picture was in Zelensky's office in the capital, the capital hasn't fallen, and he hasn't mentioned Reagan again to my knowledge. Something happened. Maybe Marvins idea is more plausible than DeSaints. It is still sad that politics is involved in foreign policy. It used to be off limits in what was best for the country.

It's fascinating to me that someone noticed and has decided it's an issue. Where did this come from, and who among us thinks it's worth even concerning ourselves with?

There is another possibility, first week in March he won the Reagan Freedom Award. If the video you are thinking of was right after that, he may have had the Reagan photo up for that.

My guess also is he changes locations often, if found the Russians will deliver missiles to him free of charge. He may not pack that photo for every move.

Don't you think his original references to Reagan and using the picture in his televised statements were playing "politics" (international instead of domestic)?

Of course. War is politics.

“This man knew how to deal with the Russians.” He was trying to get the West to stand up to Putin ala Reagan, but … because NATO protects Western Europe on the US dime, and they are energy-dependent on Russia, they gave him half measures.

No coal + no nukes + no oil = tanks in Europe
