Would a win on Saturday and then another one on Tuesday against Illinois…

Both of those guys especially Carlyle have to give IU some quality minutes. This stretch will require some help from Carlyle in particular. Be some foul trouble on the road.
Hatton just needs to play some inside D and Rebound. Carlyle play some perimeter D and rebound. Neither should be shooting anything outside of 2 feet!! Anything other than a put back at the rim, layup or dunk is too far out.

the Team? Yes

the Coach? No
My thoughts too. My perception of our coach will only change with being at least within a game of the B10 title. I've always loved ya Woody, but it's time to put up or shut up.

IU needs to win 2 of the next 3 in my view (IA, IL, OSU) to get in contention for a top tournament seed.

That will require a consistent effort in at least one away arena.

Thus far IU hasn’t won enough games they were supposed to lose (save Penn State?)

Compared to what is needed for National Championship contention … the team hasn’t been getting it done
Choices are Talent, Coaching, and (Talent and Coaching).
But without Malik available as a 6-man, big potential for Ballo to have foul trouble or just ware out. You saw what we looked like when Ballo wasn't on the floor the other night. No interior presence, rebounding or scoring threat. Granted, Malik is not a very good rebounder or defender but he gives us size and really makes up for it with his offensive presence in the post.

Don't forget minnesota who is even worse than Rutgers. Beating the three worst teams in the league at home doesn't mean he has figured anything out. He needs to compete against the top teams in the league. Remember he was picked to finish 2nd.
Yes, thanks for reminding me of our impressive win over that dominant Minnesota juggernaut. Beat Mich. St, Illinois, and Purdue and then I will change my impression of this "team".
