The NCAA needs to attack the back down problem. The NBA had a time that was a common event and I quit watching. Watching 8 players stand still as one guy tries to sumo his way in against another is BORING.

If the defender is set, and not flopping, what differentiates it from a conventional charge? Is it the speed, does that mean slow players can charge at will? Is it the fact the offensive player is backwards, does that mean acrobatic players can turn around in mid flight and collide backwards and avoid a charge.

It has been a complaint of mine for a long time, but watching Wyoming last night makes it more appearant a change needs made.

Totally agree, although I would say that Race and Trayce have been guilty of the same thing many times this year. It is not pretty to watch, and would think very difficult to officiate on a consistent basis.

Race and Trayce do it quickly. Dude on Wyoming would use the entire shot clock.

Was like watching Mark Jackson or Charles Barkley. I thought the NBA had some kind of rule which outlawed the back down by putting a count on it. But I’ve slept since then. I think the NCAA would do well to try and add a 5 count to discourage this. Do it for all post play. I don’t care.
