Agreed. I think it's already fully played out. He's not a good college coach and I would argue he's probably not a good coach at all, just lucky to be associated with Knight and Indiana. He's basically stealing money right now accepting his salary. He's gotten the NIL money, he's arguably gotten the talent and he's done next to nothing with any of it. He'll miss the tourney again this year. There is no point in firing him until after the season and he's got way to much ego to step down. He'll continue laughing all the way to bank and crawl back to the NBA to be an irrelevant assistant coach on some mediocre team.

i didn't get to watch last night, but what you described is exactly what he did vs Purdue. With immediate negative results to begin the 2nd half.
That's a huge if. He has at the least figured out he is "the hump", didn't mention it once in his post-game dribble. I did like the eight games left to turn it around with five at home.

Look at UNC. They were in the championship game a few years back and it looks like they are going to fire Coach Hubert Davis an alumni. It is just business now. There is no loyalty on both sides.

Exactly the same move. The results were very similar but not quite as dramatic as Purwho because this game was already lost.
Agree with this. He's arrogant, but he's not an imbecile. He's given up, but he can't publicly admit he's failed. Someone close to him needs to tell him a looks like an old fool.
