Win and IN(diana)

That matters in terms of seeding but in terms of making the show we will jump Miami so we would still be, at worst, the last at-large in.
No—TA&M getting in will cut somebody out.

Safe: ORE/PSU/TEX/UGA/TENN/ND/OSU

In with a win: SMU or CLEM, TA&M (needs two wins), MWC winner, B12 winner

Bubble: IND, SMU (if CLEM beats them), MIA

If TA&M wins the SECCG, one of the three teams is out. I don’t trust the committee won’t have it be us. We need SMU and either TEX or UGA to win their title games, which will open up our spot.

MIA would have the edge over us because of more bowl-eligible wins and a better brand.

Yes - that somebody is Miami.
MIA or SMU get in over us for the reasons I mentioned. Better wins and in the case of MIA a better brand. There are 11 locks. If TA&M loses tonight or next week (they don’t play next week if they lose tonight), that will open our spot, then we need SMU to beat CLEM. That will give room for IND and MIA to both be in. If it comes to one of the two, MIA’s better wins and better brand get the nod.

Miami's defense has been exposed. They are bad and the matter is not in doubt. If Clemson gets in it will be at the expense of Miami - which is what I've been saying for two weeks. The ACC isn't getting three teams. It's either going to be SMU and Miami or Clemson and SMU. On top of that they aren't going to take a 2-loss ACC team over a 1-loss Big Ten Team, sorry. I have already acknowledged that A&M getting in takes away an at-large spot but it doesn't matter because we are no longer the last at-large team in. I understand the point you are making, I just don't agree with it. Your premise is that Indiana is the last team in and my premise is that they are not. There is no need to go round and round about it.

Nothing personal, but your constant negativity is annoying as hell.

And I don’t understand how anyone who follows Big Ten football could have seen this as a close game. You had Purdue taking us to overtime.

Indiana is a LOCK for the College Football playoff.

You're a moron

Dear CFP committee,

We lost one game to the 2nd ranked team by basically gifting them 2 TD's on special teams...... on their home field

We beat both participants/programs from last years national championship game

We beat the ever-loving sh!t out of everybody else

This years team shouldn't have to suffer for our lack of a traditional power reputation

The schedule was made far in advance and our record sits at eleven and one

We rest our case

Sincerely,

2024 Indiana Football Hoosiers

Good ole boys network. Oh, BTW, who didn’t pick OSU to beat IND? You and a bunch of other people. And many of you didn’t even have it close. So any bad pick I can make, you can make just as well.

However, TEX stifling TA&M just now may have officially ended all doubt.

If the committee does something shitty to 'weed out' the B1G teams like was said on the broadcast, and matches us against OSU (if they get a home game) I'll be ticked off. Wouldn't be a reward for the team to have to go to their dump right away.

If it's Penn State or Oregon, I'm Ok with it. But what they should do is try not to have league teams face each other first round. Let the leagues show who's best by playing the other leagues.

I was told Brando advocated for just the opposite - - B1G teams matched against SEC slackers in the first round.

Hope so.

One of them said he thinks the committee will try to weed out the B1G by having them play. I knew which teams he meant, and think it ain't Oregon or Penn State. He may advocate differently. But his statement I refer to is what he said he thought he heard the committee may do.

But anyway, it should be spread out and not play your own league first round.
