Well, he still gets a nice paycheck if he doesn't. That allows him to be picky and demand a really good salary. If he doesn't get offered one, he'a money ahead to kick up his feet for a year or two.

Crean would be a better NBA coach than a college coach. Not a head coach, but a good offensive coach for a team with a roster idea that matched his ... maybe Phoenix ,,, they only have 800 elite guards from UK for him to turn into a starting lineup. Everyone else can be traded.

Crean belongs in the NBA G-League where wins and losses don't matter. There will be a bunch of under 21 year olds heading there and he can work on their individual skills.

A good number of IU's players under Crean tuned him out early . . . and it showed both on the court and with a number of early departures and transfers. Can you imagine guys who've heard all the bs there is to say about bball in Crean's huddle with Crean talking about deflections and speeding up the game . . . .

Better fit than Crean at LSU. Did any MAC school fire their coach? Crean could be their top choice with his Michigan roots.

Crean might be doing individual player development workouts at a Field house. That is his strength. Not in-game coaching. Crean would be a good AAU Coach for individual skills development and showcase as the focus over team success.
