No, there is no definitive proof Fife did those things other than his tweet about NIL. The rest is hearsay. Matta wouldn’t hire Fife if half of that stuff were true.

Peegs and Rabjohn’s have always looked for ways to maintain and enhance their access to the program. Several people have been outed in that way through the years. It’s hardly been a secret.
Do you not realize how asinine this is? Those two programs have dominated us for 20 years. The 1970s and 80s were fun for the few of us who were around then, but they mean absolutely nothing now. I just can’t believe how blind some fans can be.

Purdue has dominated IU for the last 6 or so years. Between 2003 and 2016, IU had more sweet 16 appearances and conference titles than Purdue.
And other than 2 really good years, Butler hasn’t really done much.

Wanting to get to the F4 and having a legit shot at doing so are two entirely different things. IU will struggle to even finish top-4 in the BIG conference for the foreseeable future. Final Four? That’s a complete pipe dream. To act like IU has some kind of standard above our conference foes that sets us apart is eye-rolling and face-palm inducing all rolled into one. 1 tourney appearance in 6 years. Multiple teams in the conference dominating IU for the past several years. A yearly placeholder in the middle to lower tier of the conference. Never won a Big Ten tournament.

Fatjohns will do anything for access. I mean it is all he has got what is he going to do for money if IU shuts him out go report on baseball? I am a Fife fan but gotta wonder about his selling skills if he's talking Fox News to 18-22 yr old kids. sales 101: don't talk politics unless you are damn sure your prospect agrees 100%. in this case, that would also apply to the retention aspect of a college basketball team already assembled. if you can't avoid talking politics, keep it unbelievably light and vague. no one wants to buy shit from people who put their dumb politics, either side, over good relationships and being cool.
