I would guess Fife joins Matta at Butler. He is supposed to have an opening.
that's an interesting take...I could see it.I would guess Fife joins Matta at Butler.
I think the worn out welcome at MSU was more of a guess by people making excuses for Fife’s firing.that's an interesting take...I could see it.
It was floated somewhere on this board that Fife had worn out his welcome in East Lansing so I don't see him returning.
There is a link in the Matta thread from Twitter (???), saying it’s done being announced tomorrow.
possibly....not sure what to believe anymore. Will just let reality play out over the coming weeks.I think the worn out welcome at MSU was more of a guess by people making excuses for Fife’s firing.
If Matta hires Fife it will solidify the coaching Rift many believe there was.
Ahhh, maybe he can do better (MSU)?Looks like the tweet suggesting Fife to Butler has been deleted. The person who posted said its not a done deal

I would be kind of shocked if Fife did not end up at Butler.Looks like the tweet suggesting Fife to Butler has been deleted. The person who posted said its not a done deal
No it wasn’t. It was discussed here after MSU fans started talking about it. He was on thin ice. Remember he was the “coach” in waiting. Supposedly he was like 3rd down the bench by the end. This isn’t new.I think the worn out welcome at MSU was more of a guess by people making excuses for Fife’s firing.

IF all the stuff that came out is true, I doubt Matta takes him at Butler. I’m guessing he would be aware of the truth. If it was just “not a fit”, maybe it happens.I would guess Fife joins Matta at Butler.
Ouch, that hurts if guess work holds true. Matta and Fife recruiting together halfway between West Laugh-he-yet and Bloomington would not make "locking down the state" any easier. It would be a stab in the back to IU, non fatal, but a long, slow recovery.I think it’s Butler.
Everything that came out was pretty much BS. Who cares if Fife watches Fox News? Who cares if Fife doesn’t believe in NIL? Butler isn’t even going to be a player in NIL anyways.IF all the stuff that came out is true, I doubt Matta takes him at Butler. I’m guessing he would be aware of the truth. No need for you to act like you know more than you do. We all know you have limited knowledge. And if many of the things said are true, then that is part of FIT.Everything that came out was pretty much BS. Who cares if Fife watches Fox News? Who cares if Fife doesn’t believe in NIL? Butler isn’t even going to be a player in NIL anyways.
It’s far more about fit than anything Fife did.
You can’t be that obtuse. It came out that fife was grumbling about CNN being on in the locker room/player area.(wonder who blasted that info)His buddy Dakich damn near did a half a show on it. NIL is important and if you don’t think it is maybe you are that oblivious. Even the D2 and D3 kids down here are getting NIL deals.Everything that came out was pretty much BS. He can be. And most likely is…You can’t be that obtuse. It came out that fife was grumbling about CNN being on in the locker room/player area.(wonder who blasted that info)His buddy Dakich damn near did a half a show on it. NIL is important and if you don’t think it is maybe you are that oblivious. Even the D2 and D3 kids down here are getting NIL deals.
Lol I know as much as you do. The only thing anyone knows about it is what Rabjohns reported. The points I said above were his main points. No need for you to act like you know more than you do. We all know you have limited knowledge. And if many of the things said are true, then that is part of FIT.
Regardless, will be interesting to see if he gets a sniff at either of those places. Could offer a hint.
Is he not entitled to his political opinions because he’s a Republican? You can’t be that obtuse. Apparently not, because it wasn’t just Rabjohns reporting on this topic. So it seems I DO know more than you. Not something anybody should hang their hat on though, as it’s no real accomplishment…Lol I know as much as you do. The only thing anyone knows about it is what Rabjohns reported. Woodson didn’t like Fife. He had every right to fire him. He didn’t need to put out a hit piece to make himself look better.
Matta hiring Fife would point to most of the hit piece being bullshit.
Oh my gawd. You are that obtuse. NIL is everywhere. If it’s not important at Purdue they will get left behind. Is he not entitled to his political opinions because he’s a Republican?
NIL is important at the IU level. It’s not at the Butler level (or even schools like Purdue).
It actually has only been Rabjohns reporting on this topic.Apparently not, because it wasn’t just Rabjohns reporting on this topic. So it seems I DO know more than you. Not something anybody should hang their hat on though, as it’s no real accomplishment…
Lol you think Purdue and Butler are signing players to big NIL deals, and you are calling me obtuse?Oh my gawd. You are that obtuse.
You really are. Not going to debate you on that. What constitutes big NIL deals is debatable. Small deals make a big difference to some. It’s part of the landscape now. Talking down to it won’t get you many recruits.Lol you think Purdue and Butler are signing players to big NIL deals, and you are calling me obtuse?
You will have your answer when Fife heads to work for a HOF coach.
And yet a HOF coach is likely about to hire him. That’s a HOF coach with direct knowledge of what went down, because he was also on staff. Yet, you know more. You really are. Not going to debate you on that. What constitutes big NIL deals is debatable. Small deals make a big difference to some. It’s part of the landscape now. Talking down to it won’t get you many recruits.
Why would any team consider Fife then if he bad mouths NIL? All it really takes for a school to be successful with NIL enticements is one generous, wealthy alum who loves sports. All schools have those, big or small. Have any IU alums been receiving letters of request for player sponsorship or anything like that? They know better than to ask me.I disagree. Fife does not embrace NIL and I am not sure Butler's approach to it. And I don’t think they can be as successful as IU or PU or ND with it.
And Woodson is obviously recruiting on a national scale with Bates, JHS, Newton, Cupps, Banks and offers out to several others out of state, the latest being Page.
The dumbass got on Twitter and trashed NIL. That’s not debatable. He removed after his boss told him to. Did he not understand who he was working for?And yet a HOF coach is likely about to hire him. That’s a HOF coach with direct knowledge of what went down, because he was also on staff. Yet, you know more.

And yet, a HOF coach is about to hire him. NIL doesn’t matter at Butler. The dumbass got on Twitter and trashed NIL. That’s not debatable. He removed after his boss told him to. Did he not understand who he was working for?
I guess we will find out in the next few days. He’s not hiring him. Lol

Ryan Phillips actually did as well during one of the Assembly Call episodesIt actually has only been Rabjohns reporting on this topic.
And he got his info from Rabjohns.Ryan Phillips actually did as well during one of the Assembly Call episodes
