One thing to note. Wilkersons uncle is the track and field coach at UK.
Maybe no specific proof yet on him, but I think we’re seeing a pattern develop.

So who do you listen to? Sounds to me you only listen to yourself in a vacuum! Painter may not have won the BIG ONE, but he has out done the last 7 coaches IU has had bye a country mile, but only the village idiot would down play someone who at least gets to the tournament unlike IU who can't even sniff the tournament! And some people wonder why IU is in this sinking HOLE!

You don't know that, there's no real way to know how they'll do moving up a tier. Stewart is a example of a player who didn't do well, Clayton and Knecht are examples of players that did.
There's other metrics that imply this kid being a triple threat at the next level - the type of player that wins championships and one IU hasn't had since Ferrell- that's why major programs are chasing him. Even if his percentage drops a drastic 10% then that's a 37% shooter at the least. He's quick, he's physical, decent handle, has good mechanics on his shot and a quick release. None of that will be impacted by moving up. He may not be elite but still a really good prospect.

At West Virginia, after four weeks in Morgantown, DeVries only had 2 commitments (including his son).

They really should give these NIL dip weed transfer prospects a 24hr decision mandate after they leave campus. No need to get into a bidding war. See what there is to offer at IU and then they can take it leave it.
For 99 percent of these guys, this is their chance at the biggest annual “salary” they’ll have in their lives. Not a single one of us wouldn’t want to maximize a similar opportunity.

It does not have to be all about the money. Wilkerson is a senior. In your final season do you want to go to a program with a new coach that has not been to the tourney in 2 years and no players? Or go to a more established program with a new coach that went to the tournament last season?
