Why did Langford delay thumb surgery?

He took one for the team.

How is that taking one for the team? By playing and shooting the worst three point % in IU history he was probably the biggest factor in us missing the tournament. We had no success with him, none. Finished under .500 in the big ten and was an awful year.

He sounds like a nice kid, but he has zero killer in him. By playing "hurt" he gave IU nothing this year. He and IU would have been much better off if he had surgery and never played a game. Garland stock shows that, 0 chance if they both don't play Romeo isn't a higher pick now. Now he will likely fall out of the lottery because NBA people are not idiots and saw he can't shoot and has 0 heart.

And, if he did not play people would complain that he was soft, or that he was only concerned about his NBA draft position or that he was faking an injury. By the way, who was the leading scorer this year?

Tas DK. You said it was a BiG champion caliber team and Final Four contender. You guys were wrong. Way wrong. Why not own it?

Own saying that?

I will own saying this:

How good this team will be boils down to one key factor - point guard play.

DG, RP or AD provide sound, solid play - we have a chance to win the B1G

One of those 3 (or someone else) provides exceptional performance - we have a chance to go very deep in NCAA Tournament, perhaps FF.

No one steps up? God forbid . . .

"we have a chance" - guess you missed that part, huh?

And note when I said this: Sept 5th of last year. Before Hunter was lost for the season; before concussions to Phinisee and Thompson; before Romeo tore a ligament in his shooting hand in the Duke game and played with a wrap the rest of the year.

Yeah - I'll own saying what I said on Sept 5th. But will you own a total lack of reading comprehension? A snowball has a better chance in Hades that you ever owning that . . .

Injuries or not, it wasn’t a BiG championship contending team and certainly not a final four contender. No basketball people believed that. No amount of backpedaling or excuse making by you changes that. You were wrong. Stop chastising others and trying to cover up your ignorant hyperbole and just own it. Your hole is and was plenty deep. No need to keep digging it or blame others as if they held the shovel.

My hand raised as I said 22 win range season.
But at Hoosier Hysteria when I saw Hunter D him up and made him look more like a 3 star .I was worried..
Plus imo ..Morgan didn't play as well as a senior as he did his junior season.

How do you know?

The team never got the opportunity to play to it's potential. Not surprising you struggle with that concept - well, really, not that surprising considering you total lack of reading comprehension . . .

Your sockpuppet cavanaugh will respond in 3, 2, 1 . . .

Biggest disappointment in Juwan was lack of leadership. For whatever reason it wasn't there - and this team sorely needed it.

Too little talent and experience to be a contender. If you’ve watched BiG basketball and IU through the years, it wasn’t hard to see, even last September. You were hyperbolic and it showed in your overrating of the team. Not surprising but just own it. You were wrong, way wrong, and you keep making tired excuses to cover up your ignorance.

And, right on cue, you revert to your juvenile tactics rather than owning up to the fact that you were wrong. You said it was a BiG championship team and final four contender. That’s dropped-on-your-head stupid. Don’t further your dumbassery by doubling down and being a bigger idiot. Just admit you were wrong and own it, rather than continuing to tell everyone else how wrong they are. It gets old, especially when you were so . . . wrong.

So you're saying that IU will be better next season? Finally some optimism from the Negative Nancy crew.

If we had no success with him then why would we have no success without him? He did not shoot well from 3, but he didn't take a whole lot of 3's. It's not like he was jacking 10 3's in a row and we are yelling at the tv to stop shooting. I thought Romeo scored pretty efficiently. He scored a lot of two pt buckets plus he got to the line. It's how he lead us in scoring. If we didn't have him last year then who gets his points? As I looked at our roster and how it played out I thought, "who in the world can score consistently for this team". I don't know where Romeo's points get made up if he isn't on the team.

Yet everyone bitching about us not making the dance want to act like having that wrap on his hand didn’t make a damn bit of difference - it was all Archie’s fault . . .
That's ridiculous. The so-called hand injury is damage control of the highest order to keep his stock high. He still averaged four 3 pointers per game attempted, including holding the ball at the end of at least two games for the final shot from deep. And bricked badly.

Ask yourself this: Just WHY would a player wear a wrap nearly the entire season if there was no issue with his hand. To deliberately have an excuse?

The level of stupidity on here never ceases to amaze me at times.

Athletes of all sports wear wraps all the time. Ever see a pro tennis match? Tape and wraps all over hands, elbows, knees, etc. You and others are making it a bigger deal than it actually was.

More dumbassery from you. Posting GIFs in a futile attempt to deflect from your stupidity. You were wrong. Way, way wrong. A BiG championship and a final four contender? Amazingly uninformed, even for you. No idea why you’re so afraid to own it, but own it you should.

And still dumber. The stupid flows from you naturally. A BiG title and final four contender? That’s the stuff of cheerleaders. You were wrong. Way, way wrong. Just own it.
Tas is all over the place with his excuses. He's not the only one though. He tries to give the injury excuse and in this very same thread it moved to a leadership void. In another thread he claimed it was a locker room issue. Meanwhile, the realists know the lack of coaching and accountability is where the season went into the tank. And we haven't wavered a bit.
